Beautiful, comfortable and peaceful

The house and it's features, The space, the garden, the setting, comfy beds and towels, the fire, little things like the flasks etc, stair guard and fantastic book selection

We could have done both showers working, a washing up bowl and a colander. We understood why the WiFi struggled, but could have done with knowing that before hand so we could plan accordingly for one of our party who had an assignment to complete whilst there. We found a hot water bottle - but the stopper was missing

Super cottage to return to

Impeccably clean. Relaxing quiet location. Tastefully decorated. Homely feel.

Memory foam bed in Upper room was comfortable but sweaty. Small niggles - No flat baking trays for pizza etc to go on. No cullender for draining pasta No ladel. Only 4 pasta bowls for 5 ppl. Otherwise great.

Great for an escape in beautiful countryside

Stunning location albeit a scary road to get to it. Superb views from the garden. Everything you need and immaculately clean and decorated. I got the wow factor on arrival

Tight to move around kitchen with 5 adults. Seating in living room not the most comfortable but did us fine for just the couple days

Comfortable cottage in a peaceful location.

The cottage had everything we needed and there were helpful notes left to explain how everything worked. The beds and general layout were great for us and the cottage gave us a comfortable place to stay.

I tried to have a shower but couldn't get any warm water - as we were only staying a short time I just left it until I got home. I'm sure if I'd needed help with it I would have got it from our host. The location is a bit tricky to get to and we were glad we didn't take our bigger vehicle.

Disappointing and description not accurate. A waste of money

No mobile phone service at all at this property. This was not communicated when booking otherwise we would never have booked. The wifi is so poor that you can't get a stable connection to use it. Stairs are very steep without sufficient handrail. Not suitable for older people or young children. The property has no central heating only night storage heaters which are not efficient so it was freezing cold. We left the property later on the day we arrived.

Location is great, easy to get to and lots of trails nearby and very quiet.

WiFi didn't work, alot of notes around the house which were "do not do this and this and this" which was off putting. Communication from Booking.com was far too frequent and far too generic. We received the same message almost daily.

Perfect location for a rural escape

Amazing location. Loads of walks straight from the door. Sparkling clean. Well equipped kitchen. Easy to park and get keys etc. Yummy biscuits and stuff for a cuppa in the cottage as soon as you arrive. Snuggly bed (but towels like sandpaper!).

The garden is shared with the property next door. Made it a bit awkward to enjoy our meals outside.

if you want a wonderful location off the beaten track this is it. From her you can walk to so many truly amazing spots - Tarn howls, Coniston, Elterwater. Plus the local (1.6miles) pub in Langdale. And possibly the best of all is up the Fell behind the house and to what feels like your a own private mini lake and a truly incredible view looking down on Coniston Lake.

broken toilet seat that needed replacing. cob webs around the property. very low water pressure meaning showers were little more than a dribble. lack bbq facilities.

Supersauberes Haus mit absoluter Wohlfühlatmosphäre in toller Gegend,besonders zum Wandern!

Es war sehr sauber in der Unterkunft und komfortabel.In der Küche war alles,was man benötigt,das Haus war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet.Das einzige Manko war,dass wir nur Baden konnten,da aus der Dusche nur ein kleiner Strahl Wasser kam und wir die Temperatur nicht regeln konnten.Aber wir können diese Unterkunft nur Empfehlen!!!!DIe Lage war top zu wandern,aber man benötigt ein Auto,um zu dem Haus zu gelangen.

Wasser in der Dusche war nicht regulierbar,aber man konnte Baden.
