Refúgio da Suite 5

It was beautiful!

A little bit of a walk to town.

We picked Refugio da Suite 5 because of it's location and it did not disappoint. The location in the town of Casal de Loivos is very high up on the cliff above the Douro River. The views of the surrounding area, vineyards and the river are spectacular. The accommodations were nice and had a patio looking out over the view of olives, fruit trees and many hillside vineyards.

Sitio - vistas precioso.

Más q del alojamiento fue del itinerario q se nos complicó pero quien lo dirige se mostró muy amable y servicial y fue en nuestra búsqueda, ya que estábamos perdidos y nos acompañó en todo momento. Muy agradecidos

On the positive side, a lovely apartment comprising very nicely presented bedroom and bathroom. Terrace is wonderful and the view is simply stunning. The owners were also extremely helpful in securing a taxi for us

Well it’s the elephant in the corner of the room! Accessing the apartment is simply terrible. So much so that the taxi company refused to take me to the address. I had to walk the last kilometre. If you are a confident driver or have an appropriate motorcycle then by all means. We arrived two up on a large touring motorcycle with luggage. Getting the bike to the apartment was the most challenging and scary ride I have done. If is you ride solo, and are experienced, and have an adventure bike, you should be ok
