Lovely location and the holiday let was very nicely laid out. Sofa was very comfortable and extra blankets were provided in case we got cold. TV was a good size and had access to a variety of channels and services, and had a bracket to allow it to be angled towards the bed if needed. The bed was a good size and, although not the comfiest to me, it didn’t give me any aches or pains so wasn’t bad by any means. The kitchen area was relatively well equipped with a hob, oven, small fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, toaster, sink, and crockery. Only thing I felt may have been missed was a microwave (this may have been one of the many functions of the oven but without an instruction guide on what each symbol meant, we weren’t able to determine if it could also be a microwave). Bathroom was a good size and the shower was pretty amazing - spacious walk-in waterfall shower with a large shelf for toiletries. Although we were warned in advance that there may be water pressure issues at certain times of day, we didn’t happen to notice any during our stay! We used the log burner once during our stay as the weather was quite warm for the most part - all the ingredients needed for a good fire were already provided in a little basket next to the log burner. For a fairly small appliance it kicked out a hell of a lot of heat! Had to open the windows to cool it down again afterwards. Area was lovely to look at and various amenities were only a short distance away, and the town/village was lovely to wander around. Dedicated car parking was provided and a welcome booklet gave us some useful information about the holiday let and the area.

Fridge made some odd noises - sometimes sounded like knocking on the other side of the wall! Thermostat kept resetting randomly - we live up north and are used to the cold, so had the temperature set to 16, but would often wake to find the thermostat had reset to 20 and all the radiators were on! A couple of additional instructions on the oven would have been useful to have, and although the welcome booklet mentioned leaving rubbish at the end of our stay, as we were there for a week we needed to empty it part-way through and no instructions were provided to show where to put them. There were 3 holiday lets, one with its own set of stairs, and another set of stairs leading to the other two. It was a bit disconcerting when residents of the other holiday let had to walk directly past the large window of our apartment and could see in due to the height of it along the stairs. Might be an idea to get some of that reflective film so people can see out but not in.
