Central Sydney Budget Stay - Near Central Station

The dinner was ok - pasta and salad while they don’t serve breakfast anymore which used to be bread and butter , jam

Check in was smooth... its through a door code sent to email and then a person on an ipad screen in lobby. Sofia was lovely. I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm with ensuite so my bathroom was old and tiny but clean. Kitchen facilities were pretty good and updated and they offered free dinners. Dining space was fine and the shared bathrooms were as youd expect for a hostel. Not filthy but not sparkling... all little run down. Bed was comfy enough, a locker of reasonable size per bed (it fit my hand luggage case and backpack easy). Close to Central station and Chinatown. Felt safe in the space as a solo traveller.

Room was a little too packed in with little space. Advertisement was worded as if the room had a dining area with table.... it does not. they are referring to the hostel facilities in main space. The city view was not a city view, but rather a small window overlooking a side street jammed between a wall and someone elses bedside.

Comfy beds, curtains ensure privacy, very helpful and friendly staff, great value for money, good breakfast

No parking available, no free parking in the street, common areas are small and not enough room for everyone at dinnertime

Long dining tables make for good socializing opportunities, location is good and the free dinner is alright.

The virtual reception is a bit confusing at times. Free dinner is alright but I can see it getting repetitive on longer stays. Toilets and kitchen could use a frequent deep clean apart from the usual floor wipe.
