    My fiancee' and I had our first stay together at the Vyna Hillock Resort. We had a pleasant stay here, something that we'll cherish for many years to come. Our room was neat, organised and had a great view from the balcony. I would highly recommend this stay to everyone searching for one in Wayanad.

    Property & Rooms: The location and rooms are quite good. Tip for future guests: They have rooms near the entrance and further away. Try to get a room away from the entrance if you want a quiet, peaceful stay. We stayed during monsoon which was nice. Nature Walk: The morning nature walk is highly recommended! It really sets an energetic tone for the day. The Highlight (Sachin): A huge shoutout to Sachin, who is in charge of outdoor activities. He is an excellent guide—highly experienced, incredibly passionate about his job, and a very nice person. He explained the route beautifully and made the experience memorable. Practical Tips: Parking: I highly recommend parking your car yourself rather than using the valet service. The valet drivers might not be familiar with every feature of your specific car, which could potentially cause issues. The parking lot is nearby anyway, so self-parking is very convenient. The Bad (Front Office & Staff Behavior): While the property itself is lovely, the service from some of the front office staff was highly unprofessional and ruined the experience. Rushed Check-out: The staff kept repeatedly reminding us about the check-out time. The way they handled it made us feel incredibly unwelcome—almost like we were refugees being told to "get out." It felt very hospital-like and completely lacked hospitality. The Mini-Bar Incident: We paid around ₹8,000 for a one-night stay and an additional ₹1,200 for a dinner for two. Yet, while vacating, one of the stopped us and asked a single Snickers bar was missing from the mini-bar. It is insulting to imply that guests paying nearly ₹10k for a stay would steal a chocolate bar. It feels like these specific staff members evaluate guests based on their own mindset. I am not saying the entire staff is bad, but some of the staffs on duty during our stay was incredibly unprofessional. The management seriously needs to train their front office staff on basic courtesy and customer service. A great stay shouldn't be ruined by a bitter departure.
