We have stayed in this home twice now and will stay again. Over two decades we have stayed in places throughout Rams Hill and this is our favorite location. It is a beautiful setting and the home is well maintained. It includes everything you need for a great vacation. Highly recommended!

This desert home is nestled in the heart of Ram's Hill on the wonderfully manicured golf course there. It's beautifully decorated with a warm and welcoming environment. Everything you possibly need is there - all expected kitchen appliances, etc. So clean and comfortable. Very quiet and private. Borrego is great - have fun!

The home has a great location right on the 4th hole of the Rams Hill Golf Club. The home is in good shape and well appointed. We found it to be very clean and in good working order. The kitchen had several nice things stocked, like oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, etc. There were plenty of spices and olive oil as well. The kitchen also had plenty of plates, cups, and silverware which was nice. The bar areas was also very helpful and the wine fridge is a very nice touch.
There is a large parking lot next to the home as well, and the garage is available to park in too.
NOTE: The cell service at the home is extremely spotty. I wouldn't lower my rating for this as the homeowner has no control over it, but be aware of it.
NOTE: The BBQ is a charcoal grill, so make sure to either confirm with the owner that there is charcoal and lighter fluid or bring your own.
While overall we enjoyed our stay, there are a couple areas where the home can be improved:
1) I was very surprised to find the home does not have a big screen TV in the living room. There is about a 28" in the 3rd bedroom, and a 24" in the master bedroom. There should be at least a 55" screen in the living room for what this place costs per night. And 55" screens can be had for under $400 now. Also, the cable provided only has around 12 digital HD channels. The other 57 channels are standard definition. This means channels like ESPN and NFL Network are not in HD. Not sure if they are limited by what is available in the development, but a satellite or streaming service would be a better solution imo.
2) The master bedroom has a queen sized mattress. This is small for a master suite imo. I know it is advertised as a queen, but a master suite should have a king. The couple who stayed in the master bedroom during our stay have a king at home and going from a king to a queen bed is a big adjustment. They asked me specifically to mention it in the review.
While the pullout in the 3rd bedroom/office is nice as it lets this home sleep 5, the pullout bed is VERY uncomfortable. Had I known, I would have brought an air mattress.
3) The patio furniture is old, uncomfortable, and there is not enough of it. One of the adarandak style chairs showed signs of being glued back together and re-broken.
4) The internet speed is good for the area, although the WiFi coverage to the west side of the home could be improved. This is even more important given the poor cellular reception. I would suggest the owner invest in one of the Mesh WiFi solutions to provide better coverage.
All of these suggestions are relatively low-cost. A 55" flat screen can be had cheap on sale, king mattress sets from a wharehouse store are <$1k, good patio furniture can be bought for a few hundred dollars, and a WiFi mesh solution is $300 or less.
Some of these items may seem to be a bit petty, but for what we were paying per night, these should be addressed.
