It doesn't get much better than life on the lake and this gorgeous home is the perfect place to spend time with friends and family. Drop your bags and unwind on the plush furnishings in the living room after a full day of traveling. Turn on the gas fireplace and admire the stunning views of the lake through the wall of windows. Check the weather on the flat-screen satellite HDTV equipped with DVR.
Once you've settled in, step outside to the spacious deck to sip a cold beverage and switch into vacation mode! Put on your bathing suit and go for a swim off of the private dock or take the boat you brought along out for a tour.
When you return from your trip on the water, fire up the gas grill and prepare a delicious family barbecue. While the burgers are cooking, whip up some sides in the fully equipped kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances and double ovens. With a 6-person table inside and ample seating outside, there's plenty of room for everyone to eat indoors or out.

Bring your boat and launch it on North Shore Road, or take a short drive down the road to The Nautical Moose and put your boat in the water at the pay-to-use boat ramp.
When you're ready to venture away from the home, take a short 15-minute drive to Baker Woods Preserve and hike over 3 miles of trails, keeping an eye out for local wildlife and lush forests.
Take a day trip to the Gouverneur Museum, just 30 minutes north of the home. The museum features historical artifacts from those who lived in the area and a research library.
Adults can tour the many local wineries in the area including Otter Creek Winery, Venditti Vineyards, and Tug Hill Vineyards. You'll also want to check out Union Grove Distillery to taste their unique vodka distilled from New York apples and wheat.
When you don't feel like cooking at home, take a quick 3-minute walk down to Bonaparte's Retreat, a lakeside pub and marina that's famous for delicious wings, a weekly fish fry, and the world-famous maple burger.

Fins and Feathers lodge was a warm welcoming week full of sun and relaxing fun. I would stay again however I believe the owner will now live there full time after this year

Northern New York has had a cold, rainy summer this year, so it was a wonderful Labor Day weekend, when the weather co-operated. Stay at this awesome camp with our three generation family was the perfect time. Place is set up on a beautiful part of Lake Bonaparte and has the ideal space for indoor & outdoor activities.

The house was big and spacious for a family gathering. It has internet :) The grandchildren truly enjoyed the sand beach. The view of the lake from the house ,especially the balcony, was beautiful. We all really enjoyed our stay
