We loved staying here. There was ample room for all us and we could be together without being on top of each other -- which is important for a family reunion! We ran into an electrical issue early in our stay but it was taken care of immediately and the rest of the weekend went great.
The downstairs was particularly fun, with a pool table, games, and a big speaker for a much needed dance party.
Someone in our group forgot their reading glasses and they were on top of it and called us so we could retrieve them before we were too far away. Would stay here again!

This was the most well equipped rental we have ever stayed in and we've stayed in plenty. The location is quiet and peaceful but still not too far to drive to town. There were so many nice touches from bathroom, kitchen spices and even coffee supplied. There was plenty of room to spread out for adults and kids. The king bedroom on the main floor worked out well for my husband and I by limiting stairs. The grandkids loved having the upstairs while parents stayed downstairs with their own kitchenette. The fire pit area was so nice. The kitchen had everything you'd need to make any meal. We used the hot tub everyday but needs some stepping stones to it from patio. The younger kids loved the swing set. We all enjoyed the pool table. I was afraid we'd miss being on the water but we had so much to do at the cabin we didn't miss it at all. This is my new favorite place to stay in this area.

When we arrived there was a strong odor that we could not identify - we tried to air the house out and it was still there in the morning. I contacted the owner and he said there were moth balls in the drawers, etc. MOTH BALLS - highly toxic to humans. We searched and discovered over 60 in all the drawers, under and above furniture, on shelves, etc. We never did find them all. Our infant was sick from the fumes as well as we were distressed and had symptoms as well. We were there for a family wedding and could not leave. We washed every item of clothing we brought, worn or not, as it was permeated with the fumes. The house itself is nice and spacious for a family, hot tub was great, beds comfortable and great location next to the wedding venue. The main floor is dark wood, and was very dirty to walk on - our feet and especially the crawling infant were filthy from the wood floor. The owner was very receptive in telling us what the odor was, just amazed he was not aware of the toxicity.
