About this house rental
Your home away from home in Cartersville awaits at this charming 4-bedroom house. And, we offer 11 AM check-in, 3 PM check-out and no pet fees! Inside, you'll find 2 king beds, 2 queen beds, 1 twin bed, 2 full beds and 3 sleeper sofas, perfect for a group of friends or family. With 2 cozy living spaces and an office area and sun porch, there's plenty of room to relax and recharge. You'll enjoy seamless high speed internet access throughout. Fully equipped kitchen offers single cup and drip coffee makers, coffee and creamers, and a generous supply of paper goods. Extra bed pillows & blankets in each bedroom and 16 bath towels in each bath. There are smart TVs in each king bedroom and in the living room. Within half a mile in downtown Cartersville, you'll enjoy more than a dozen chef-owned restaurants, lounges, enticing shops and the Booth Western Art Museum, a Smithsonian Museum Affiliate. A special note to you history buffs out there. This site was the homeplace of Amos Akerman, Attorney General under President Grant during Reconstruction. He formed the first investigative unit in the Justice Department which later became the FBI. He fervently prosecuted atrocities committed by the Ku Klux Klan and injustices brought on by powerful railroad interests. These actions led to his forced resignation. Although a New Hampshire native, he returned to his first Georgia home in Elberton but was not welcomed because of his stance on rights for African Americans. He moved his family to Cartersville for its milder political climate and practiced law here until his death in 1880. He is interred in Cartersville's Oak Hill Cemetery.
