About this house rental
Secluded 5,600 SF lodge nestled in a Hickory forest featuring a private lake teaming with game fish. The 7+ acres, lake and lodge are all yours. Main floor is elegant, romantic and cozy. The massive 50 foot long screened porch that overlooks the lake features a massage / spa area, seating for 16 or more, dining options, etc. The lower "pub" level features a commercial sized bar, band stage, hidden lair, bar games, full gym and pure fun! Canoe, kayak, g un and archery range, hiking trails, bonfire, etc. This place can be as crazy as you want it to be or more relaxing than you expect. Many places by the lake and in the forest to sit and relax.
Groceries, food, liquor, supplies are 4 minutes away in beautiful Hickory Flat, Ga. Convenient to I575 & GA 400. Downtown Woodstock, Canton and Alpharetta are minutes away and offer excellent dining and entertainment.
Hickory Lodge is perfect for family reunions, small weddings, company retreats, church retreats, special celebrations, fantastic parties or just a romantic hideout close to home for a local couple. The house band is always available for hire and when its warm and sunny you are welcome to charter my 37' sea ray cruiser for a few hours or a day on a huge local lake. If you are lucky enough to stay mid-week the house band - Hickory Flat Band - may play for free! Your own club with live music! Hard to beat. You can learn more about one of Atlanta's best bands on IG at hickoryflatband. Imagine having dinner on the main level and then walking down to the lower level to enjoy your own private band doing a show just for you and your group.
The lodge has 7 private sleeping rooms although only 4 are legitimate bedrooms. The other three are the very large laundry/office room, home gym room and the master closet. The laundry/office makes a very nice bedroom with window that overlooks the lake, window shade, power outlets and powder room is adjacent so it has its own "private" bathroom. This room features a 24" high edge queen sized airbed. The master closet has a single bed in it with its own window, power outlets and shares the master bathroom. Private exit won't bother those staying in the master bedroom. The pub level also features a futon and huge feather sleeping couch along with a number of additional airbeds. The home gym room has 2 queen beds in it. Hammocks are available for those who want to sleep in the woods. The lodge has 8 queen airbeds and lots of floor space so large groups are no problem.
The base rate for the lodge assumes a group of 4 people and increases by $ per person per night for extras. Plus a $135 cleaning fee. If my final rate turns you off as being too high, it is because you have a large group. Compare my nightly rate to getting multiple 300 square foot hotel rooms with the lobby as your hangout space. Night and day comparison. Happy to discuss with you different options. Having everyone under one roof is priceless. I also charge extra but not as much for people visiting. Please let me know your plans as to how many people will be on property. Staying and visiting. I'm very fair and for large groups I always allow some people free when told of your plans. If you aren't honest about your plans we'll have a problem.
Remember, you can do just about anything at the lodge IF you tell me ahead of time and pay for it. Its very simple. Life is WAY too fun and WAY too short for crummy sneaky destructive disrespectful people.

We only want fun, happy, well adjusted, smart, interesting people on property. If you want the Ritz - give 'em a call. Life is WAY to short for complaining and crummy people. We try hard to offer a quality product and experience but with nearly 6,000SF of space we can miss things and we do decorate and furnish ourselves. We do encourage constructive feedback tho as we are always trying to do better.
A fishing deck was just added and hiking trails are now being improved. Always something going on at Hickory Lodge to make it better and better. This last group actually had me set up a bed on the lakeside stage with a pretty white canopy mesh net and they slept under the stars. Just about anything is possible.
If you can imagine it, I can make it happen! It's truly a magic place. We get many many compliments on the great energy, tranquility and happiness housed at Hickory Lodge.

We had 7 golfers in our party and truly enjoyed the privacy and layout. The owner was onsite to meet us as we arrived and provided a tour. We regretted not bringing any fishing equipment but relaxed on the back porch overlooking the pond. We look forward to staying there again next year as we travel up for our annual golf tournament at Hawks Ridge.

Our stay at Hickory Flats Lodge was fantastic !!!! Our host Mark went above and beyond in every way possible. He was extremely garcious and easy to work with answering all of our questions from the early days of planning the trip and during our stay. The property is spacious
