We needed a healing retreat and this was the perfect property. The host was very responsive and available to answer all my questions. The location and ammenties were everything we needed.

We very much enjoyed our stay! Jeanette was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The cabin was immaculate, beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. We hiked around the property and the river, watched birds at the wonderful birdfeeders and enjoyed warm fires in the fireplace. We skied one day at Granite Peak, which was a super easy drive from the cabin. We would definitely stay there again!!! Thanks Jeanette.
One note -- the Backes food mart in Birnamwood is closed and the nearest grocery is about 15-20 miles away, so please plan accordingly.

This is a beautiful property with a romantic and bucolic atmosphere. The place is very well decorated, the living room has big windows that allows you to see several species of birds, the river, the wild life while you are having your morning coffee in the cozy and warm cabin. The host is amazing and she is always ready to assist you. She recommended to visit Dells of Eau claire Park which is another beautiful place, only 10-20 minutes away. If you like to hike, take time to explore the cliffs and trails along the river. I can’t wait to go back there.

Our family of five stayed here in early August for four nights. Grandparents also spent a couple of nights with us. It's a beautifully maintained property that gave our three boys the digital detox they really needed: fishing, catching frogs and toads, playing games, and sitting by the campfire. As others have mentioned, there are a ton of birds hanging out, including more hummingbirds than I've ever seen in my life.
If you're looking for a little peace and solitude with some charm - we highly recommend this place!
