Our family of four had a lovely stay at the Happy Shack. This was our first time visiting the Jemez Mountains, and we were awed by the beauty. The cabin is located on a mountainside and has a beautiful view. The craftsmanship of the cabin is superb and it was charmingly decorated. We saw lots of wildlife during our stay, including deer, rabbits, chipmunks, wild turkey, and lots of birds. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning, sipping coffee, and watching the hummingbirds at the feeder. The kitchen has everything you really need. We used the grill and had a nice dinner out at the picnic table. The owners were very responsive, but also unobtrusive. It's a really welcoming and cozy place!

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Relaxing! Really enjoyed the different birds, sunrise and the stars! Very clean and comfortable! Only issue was our vacation wasn’t long enough!
