We rented before with no problem. This time I never got a hold of Jim our Guest host. Never returned my calls. The emergency contact, Vickie, her phone number was no good. I emailed Jim, no response again. I needed the code for the door. I called Evolve and they tried to contact Jim, again no response. They finally got a hold of Paul, the owner and he said there would be a key in a certain place to get in. The TV was not working. It took us 2 days to figure what was wrong with it. The fireplace did not work also. Other than that, the house was great to stay in. The accommodations were great. Thank you

Great location with access to hiking along the Escalante River, in the Boulder Mtns, and in Capitol Reef National Park. Surprisingly, there is nice hiking out the back door in the National Forest along Boulder Creek and nobody is out there, at least in November. The kitchen and common areas were perfect for 4 people and would accomodate 7 or 8 without difficulty.

Pros: The place was nice. Very quite place. Clean and well stocked kitchen. Great laundry room. Beautiful Master Bedroom/bathroom. Cons: Not close to a grocery store or restaurants. Our guest contact person did tell us that after I asked. You need to take your trash to a dumpster near by. No contact from our guest contact except for when I contacted him with questions before we left to come. When we got there after an 8 hour drive, the key wasn’t where he told us it would be. I tried to reached out to him several times but we had to drive to the very small town of Boulder Utah to get cell service. We tried to get a hotel/motel room in Boulder but they didn’t have anything. So then I called Evolve and talked to a very nice lady Denisse. She got in touch with him and after an hour we were let in by our guest contacts son. It was very frustrating for us after a long drive. Never heard from our guest contact at all, even after he told us the key was in the wrong place, to check on us, stop by to apologize. Very unprofessional. We had three couples with us. The bedrooms were nice but two of them did not have ceiling fans and it got hot in there. (No air conditioning). Luckily we opened the windows and it does cool down quickly.

This house was meticulously kept and cleaned when we arrived. Nice to be a few miles out of Boulder. Very quiet and views of the stars. Yet very close to all the great things Boulder and Escalante have to offer.
