We just stayed at this ranch house in Boulder for a long 4-day weekend and we really enjoyed ourselves. We were looking to get away for a bit and enjoy some quiet and that's what we got here...aside from the occasional "Moooo" or "Neeeigh" from the surrounding cows and horses. The grass in the yard was brown and crunchy and full of stickers, there were ants everywhere outside and the air had the subtle scent of manure...but it didn't bother us at all. After all, what could we expect from a home that sits in the middle of a working cattle ranch. The main contact (Donna) was very helpful and got the BBQ, extra bedding and an early check-in all set up for us before our arrival. She was even willing to help us break back into the property after we locked ourselves out...though we were able to get in through a window before she had to make the trip to the house. Beware that the keypad lock entry only controls the deadbolt, so if you make the mistake (like we did) of locking the door knob when you leave the house, you will have no way to get back inside. I gave this property 4-stars not because it fell short in any way, but because I don't see how you can give any property like this (a simple ranch house in the country with no real amenities) 5-stars. The only suggestions I would have for the Owners are to replace the silverware which is falling apart, stock up the kitchen a bit more (water pitcher, more ice trays, BBQ baster/brush, etc.), keep the grass green like the larger house and maybe add some horseshoe pits or something to pass the time on the property. We enjoyed our stay and will very likely be staying there again. Thank you.
