Creek and Fire Pit!!

The perfect get away for a solo traveler. The cottage was immaculate and the bed so comfortable. The babbling creek will lull you to sleep. This did not disappoint and look forward to returning again.

Very nice quaint cabin tucked at the base of the mountain with a creek that circles from the back porch around to the side. It had everything I needed for a weekend getaway.Liz was a great host, the cabin was clean and well stocked. She was available for contact in case anything was needed. Even thought the cabin has some houses around it, it still felt very private especially at night. You'd hear the occasional car driving by since the roads are all gravel. But the dominant sound is the water flowing from the creek. The creek water is cold, like proper mountain spring cold. And it's maybe 50 feet from the back of the cabin. Not deep, like halfway up your shins for an average adult. The water is fast flowing, not 'sweep you off your feet' speed, but fast enough for it to be a constant sound in the area. Acting as a perpetual white noise machine of sorts that's always in the background. The cabin is about 20 minutes to downtown Hendersonville which has a very nice historic small town feel. It's also about 40 minutes to downtown Asheville if you're in the mood for a bigger city feel.

I loved my stay at this location. The most relaxing 3 days I have ever had.

Clean, basic. Would have like to have had a little more options for entertainment at the cabin. The wood pile was wet so not able to have a fire. WiFi outage and no phone service. (Due to weather) Towels a little musty in bathroom and not sure exhaust fan was working when switch was on. Overall a good price. DVD player but no remote.
