About this apartment rental
Spacious basement apartment with 9 foot ceilings, lots of natural light and a private entrance. One bedroom with a king size, poster bed. Queen size bed can be set up for additional guests in the living room. Fully equipped kitchen as well as a washer and dryer for your convenience. No need to bring anything just show up, relax and enjoy!
Less than four miles from interstate 26. Drive .08 of a mile (off the main road) through surrounding apple orchards on a well maintained gravel road to your peaceful, secluded destination. Relax on the porch and enjoy the gorgeous mountain view’s.
If outdoor activities are appealing, take a short hike on nearby Bearwallow Mountain, a stroll down historic downtown Hendersonville (5 miles), explore the Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area (12 miles), visit the beautiful waterfalls and trails of DuPont State Forest (18 miles) or discover the history and majesty of the Biltmore Estate in Asheville (about 23 miles). We also have many local breweries/wineries in the area. Sierra Nevada Brewery, Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards (2.8 miles), Burntshirt Vineyards (5 miles), Point Lookout Vineyards (6.2 miles), Dry Falls Brewery and Bold Rock Hard Cider to name a few.
DIRECTIONS-Approximately 3.8 miles from Interstate 26 you will turn right onto Stepp AcresLane. There is also a sign for Linda’s Plants right on Hwy 64. Once on Stepp Acres make sure to turn right immediately after passing the 3rd mobile home. There is a green sign for #216 and a dumpster on your left. If you miss this turn you will end up at the greenhouses. There will be another green sign (#216) directing you up the hill towards a brick house. Turn left in front of the brick house. This is our driveway. Directly after passing the metal shed on your left you will see a graveled parking area. This is where you will park and walk through the yard to enter the downstairs living area.
Be advised you will be walking through the grass/yard to enter the apartment. There is always a possibly the grass could be wet due to rain, humidity or morning dew. We suggest bringing a pair of shoes that you don’t mind walking through wet grass in, just in case.
We will gladly assist renters carrying luggage to and from their cars. We will also allow you to pull your car up to the door to load and unload. We just ask that you check with us first before doing so. We have septic lines in the front yard.

We Loved the apartment, everything was Beautiful and clean. No complaints really but wouldn’t hurt to have a sidewalk from where you have to park to apartment. Long walk through wet grass. But overall awesome place.

I’d like to keep this property as my little secret—it was such a great value. But I’ll go ahead and share with our VRBO friends. It is also a quality property, with a comfortable king-size bed, other good amenities, and like-new condition. The convenience factor was good, too. The 1/2 mile or so of gravel road was easy to navigate and leads to Hwy 64 with easy access to I-26, Hendersonville (our favorite NC town), and Chimney Rock/Lake Lure (they’re back!). The view on the front porch is outstanding and after a day of touristy stuff, we enjoyed lounging there around sunset, perhaps sipping on some moonshine. :)

Our hostess thought of the little things. The things that make you fell at home. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is very spacious, clean, with a beautiful view. If all you want to do is rest and watch the apples grow you can certainly do this here. The birds in the morning to watching the bunny play was a great stress receiver. She has done an amazing job making one have an amazing experience. Thank you so much.

I chose this property because of the reviews stating it was quiet. I think we stayed on an 'off' weekend where the host and I discovered the loud noise above our bedroom was the upstairs bathroom fan that was very loud that kept me up for hours during the first night. The second night was much quieter. There were also extra visitors upstairs, so there were some pretty noisy footsteps at times. We had a pretty rough week, and were just looking for some real peace and quiet.We have learned it is best to not book a shared space again.
