The name highlands is perfect, is exactly that and incredible if you like that and isolation. The attention to details fantastic, and tasteful decor. One of the few places we stayed at and wished it was for more nights. The hosts are delightful, everything with a friendly smile. The little onsite shop with homemade wine (surprisingly good), fruit juice, dried meats and bread was a real treat after a long drive and realising we had overlooked eating. Our family of 5 all genuinely sad to leave this picture postcard perfect spot.

If you like city life, restaurants on your doorstep, crowds of people, queues, parking problems - you wont like this- its the complete opposite.. Its pretty isolated and a 30min drive off highway. We loved it.

Amazing location. Completely quiet, with fantastic views. The owner is very friendly. We had some nice talks during the schnaps...

During booking stage it was not so clear there was a second house recently built by the same owner. Distance is far enough and everything was quiet, so no problem. But this was new.

Our chalet was amazing- it's well equipped with everything you could need, spacious, and has incredible facilities (the beds were extremely comfortable and the AC worked very well)- we also particularly enjoyed the hot tub and sauna!! It is luxury in what feels like the middle of nowhere. Incredible location with breathtaking views, perfect for some peace and privacy - there is also a perfect spot which looks over the canyon for sundowners + hikes from the chalet itself! The hosts went above and beyond - they were very helpful and extremely friendly and assisted us with everything we needed. We felt at home as soon as we walked in. We would highly recommend, thanks so much! (Note: you don't really feel like leaving once you have arrived so bring some provisions with you but there is also a small well-stocked shop on site!)
