The location was literally perfect for our trip to Alton Towers (Dad + 3) The property is a cottage, so obviously self-catering - the local shop is fine for essentials, but Uttoxeter is only a 7 minute drive. Uttoxeter has Waitrose, Tesco, Asda, Aldi and others. Access to the JCB car park, which is literally opposite the accommodation was very useful. Parking on the street was OK most of the time. The owner left treats for the 3 children, fresh milk, and a bottle of pretty good wine for Dad. I'd say the best part of staying here was that the owner was completely involved and very communicative. Happy and nice. The property itself on arrival was perfect, everything fully stocked. Everywhere clean, fresh bedding and towels. I haven't posted photos on this review because the photos on the listing is literally what we found when we arrived.

Ideal for a family trip to Alton towers

Clean, well equipped. Ideal for a family especially with small children. Welcome basket is a nice touch. The children especially enjoyed the sweets!

Could do with a dishwasher, and the beds are metal so squeak even with the slightest movement

The Cosy Cottage was beautiful.. It was extremely clean & comfortable… Perfect for our trip to Alton towers… There was a bottle of wine left from Amanda and some sweets for our Daughter… The parking was easy as there is parking across from the property… There are local shops to buy the extras you need… Local pub if you fancy a quick pint… Definitely would recommend the Cosy Cottage.. Will definitely be back

Lovely cosy few nights away

Parking was easy, use of a gated car park opposite property. The property was clean, well presented, a great selection of books, games and toys at the house with lots to do in the local area.

Beautiful house. It was so clean and tidy. Host left milk for tea and coffee along with all the little extras you need. I would highly recommend to anyone and I would definitely stay again.

Perfect little cottage and handy location.

The car park was right opposite and accessible using a key card which was provided. The property was well kept, clean and all facilities you would need. The shower was great, it had a fully working kitchen, the kids room had books and toys and there were also games. Although it had properties attached either side, there were no noise issues and the area appeared a nice area to stay in. The owner had left a bottle of wine and also a bag of mixed sweets for our son which was a lovely touch. There was also a pint of milk as well as teas, coffees, biscuits. There is a spar down the street, an Indian restaurant/take out a few metres down the street. The cottage was approximately 5 miles from Alton Towers which was perfect.

Everything was fine, we have nothing negative to say.

The best place you could pick!

Cosy doesn't quite capture the sheer classical comfort of this place. With a great little kitchen, sporting everything you need to make a decent meal for four (including salt and pepper - something all of these places should have), have an evening of Cluedo and then settle down on the very comfy sofas (a great spot for a nap after a big day out) for a cuppa and general chat. The beds are super comfortable and whilst we hadn't realised the second room had bunks (my bad) our third memeber had great rest, despite being a big, tall dude. Also; Great shower! Even when the hot water runs out, the emerser keeps it going just enough to keep it pleasant! And to top it all off, it's only a minute away from a couple of local shops and a great chippie and the Alton Towers bus takes you straight there and back! (Once per day each way)

Honestly, we have no complaints and would happily stay there again for much longer. What a lovely place!

Superb

A neat, Victorian terraced cottage with a very modern interior. Small, but with everything we (two parents, a child and a baby) needed for a few days. Situated a few minutes from the JCB headquarters beautiful landscaped grounds and lake and the centre of Rocester - a very small but pretty village a few miles from Alton Towers.

There was a problem with the washing machine but our host responded as soon as we reported it. Nothing else to mention. If you want to stay in that area it's a very nice place to stay.

Warm homely feeling in a cosy little cottage. Lots of thoughtful touches.

Very cosy cottage in a good location, very close to alton towers. The house came with a number of very thoughtful touches , the hosts had left some basics like coffee, team , milk and snacks as well as a number of story books that my kid absolutely loved. Would definitely go back when in the area.

Gezellig schoon en prima huis met tuintje

Het was een heel gezellig huisje, alles was goed verzorgd en zag er netjes uit. Je kon lekker buiten zitten en de auto kon veilig geparkeerd worden. De locatie is perfect voor als je naar Alton Towers gaat. Zeker een aanrader dit huisje. De WiFi werkte ook prima.

De douche was prima, alleen de bedieningsknoppen voor warm/koud hadden wat struggels. Het stapelbed kraakt dat was jammer. Mogelijk waren onze kids al wat groot 15 en 18.
