Modern beach apartment Romana Playa in Marbella, Elviria

Lovely location right next to the beach and restaurants

Everything was fine

The welcome and arrival information. Verity was outstanding and a very easy process. She even got me some additional water and met us in person on check in day. Easy to contact. Can't fault that bit

The complex itself was very tired. It needs some TLC and painting. The shower on the apartment wasn't good or to an acceptable standard. The whole area around the shower tray had mildew. The grout needs removing and replacing. The sink didn't drain very well and needs the u bend to be removed cleaned and the blockage removed. The Air conditioning wasn't functioning correctly. We travel extensively and have AC in our home. The room temperature never dropped below 23 degrees C, despite settling the remote to 16. We did notify and they came the next day. They said nothing was wrong with it. I and my wife however disagree and sleeping was warm and stuffy in the room. It wasn't functioning correctly. The bed linen was old and tired and needs to be replaced. The patio area was very old & dated. Not somewhere we wanted to sit. The awning was very dirty. The furniture was fairly rusty and the apartment below looked like it had been abandoned years ago. All in all the location is fabulous. It's a cheap apartment. It's very quiet. Everything you need, iron , fridge freezer, washing machine. It just needs updating and some money spending on it. We unfortunately we stay again. We will however return to Romana Playa but spend extra money and stay in a modernised apartment.
