On arrival, we were welcomed with a lovely hamper, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated after our journey. There is also a comprehensive welcome book containing useful information about the cottage and clear instructions for using the facilities, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. The kitchen is thoughtfully designed, with a lovely butler sink, clever fold-away work surfaces, a double electric hob, and a combination microwave oven. We had read comments from previous guests mentioning the lack of a conventional oven, but we found the facilities more than adequate for our stay. During the week we cooked cottage pie, tuna pasta, sausage and potato bake, and even a full fry-up without any difficulty. The bathroom was excellent, with a lovely rain shower, plenty of hot water, and quality towels and bathrobes provided, which added an extra touch of comfort. The standout feature for us was the private garden. As we live in a flat, having a secure outdoor space for our dogs was wonderful, and they absolutely loved it. The hosts had even left treats for them on arrival, which was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated. We had also seen comments mentioning that the TV is located in the bedroom rather than the living area. This wasn't an issue for us, as the Wi-Fi connection was excellent throughout our stay, allowing us to stream SKY Go on a laptop without any problems. The cottage was comfortable, well equipped, and clearly cared for. The attention to detail throughout, from the welcome hamper and guest information book to the thoughtful touches for our dogs, made for a genuinely relaxing stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would happily recommend Beekeepers Cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and dog-friendly getaway.

There wasn't anything we disliked. There wasn't a tin opener and we forgot to mention it to the hosts when leaving, but it wasn't a major issue, we had a ham sandwich instead of tuna!
