Schönes uriges Haus im allem Komfort.
Der See lädt nicht gerade zum Baden ein. Kein Strand. Es war nicht klar, ob die Paddelboote durch Gäste benutzt werden dürfen. Die Wäsche der vorhergehenden Mieter hing noch zum Trocknen. Der Vermieter hat diese auch nicht entfernt.

ביקתה מבודדת עם גישה פרטית לאגם. הכי מדהים שאפשר לבקש. יש 2 קיאקים עבור האורחים וזה ממש מוסיף למקום.
חשבו על הכל מהכל- אפילו ארגז עם המון צעצועים לילדים.
בקתה כפרית וקטנה.
בחוץ טבע אמיתי, פרות עיזים כלבים
ממש קסום!

Een heel fijn huisje aan het meer, waar het 's avonds goed afkoelde zodat je geen airco mistte. Je kon er heerlijk zwemmen en kajakken met de twee kajaks die daar lagen. Je kunt je auto lekker voor de deur zetten.
Het huisje was heel compleet, het had alles wat je nodig had, zelfs een wasmachine.
Het lag vlakbij Niksic, zo'n 10 minuten rijden, waar je alles kon halen wat er nodig is.
Misschien dat het geen vaatwasser had, maar dat vonden wij niet erg.

The little stone cottage was beautiful and fairly well appointed. The kettle did not work but was replaced in a couple of days. The owner/manager was helpful and brought some massive bin bags as there was nowhere to put the rubbish.
The location is pretty but the view is spoiled by a new orange chalet which is very close and spoils the view over the lake. The chalet also has all the sun loungers and umbrellas so if you want to sunbathe, book the chalet. However, we swam in the clear freshwater lake every day and kayaks are provided to share with the chalet.
A shepherd brings his flock of sheep and a goat with a bell round its neck through the property most days. This serves as a great alarm clock. There is also a free-roaming cow with a bell round its neck who wanders about.
I recommend taking water shoes as the path down to the lake and the 'beach' are very uneven and rocky. Plus lots of sheep and cow poo.
You will be stuck if you don't have a car. But the cottage is easy to access off the main road.
Lovely 30 minute walk to the Krupac beach which is gravel, concrete plus lots of people and a noisy beach bar if that's your thing.
Great walks through the bush but take care not to get lost.
We had several barbecues which were wonderful. You'll need to forage for wood but there is plenty around and an axe to chop it with. Take a lighter and matches with you though as there were none in the house. We left a couple for the next guests.
Montenegro is stunningly beautiful but its residents often do not take care of what they have, dumping heaps of rubbish wherever they fancy, which is a shame. Often this gets set on fire and we witnessed a couple of wildfires nearby during our stay.
As is to be expected in a rural setting, there are plenty of bugs including mosquitoes. Big jewelled flying things and creepy crawlies. Plenty of fish in the lake and harmless water snakes, one of which surprised us by appearing in the cottage on our last day!
The bed is VERY hard and we got backache sleeping on it.
The nearest food shop is several kilometers away and as we arrived on a 3 day national holiday with no car, we had to rely on friends to bring us food. Shops are all closed on Sundays.
Shame about the chalet that spoils the view.
