Location was terrible. It was not downtown and is in a part of Vancouver where there is a shocking problem with homelessness. We were literally around the corner from the worst street in Vancouver. People whom we talked to were horrified that we were staying in that area because it is so dangerous. The apartment is three star at most. The door onto the balcony will not lock and there were abseilers cleaning the windows while we were there. It's extremely tacky how the portable air-conditioners have been installed. Dining table will only seat four and yet it is supposedly an apartment for five people. Beds are adequate but not particularly comfortable and the pillows are terrible. There were only three of us, but if there had been more, the third bedroom is appalling! It's a bed in a cupboard with no windows. The tiny balcony is difficult to access and has a very old wooden table and two chairs, so there is no way that you are going to sit out there. Showers over the baths are difficult for older people and there are no safety grab rails. No tissues are provided and shampoos and soaps are very basic. The location so close to the sky rail is extremely noisy. Maybe the apartment is double glazed but the alterations which have been made to accommodate the portable air-conditioners has probably stopped the double glazing from being effective. As a result, even in the beginning of June, the apartment gets very hot so I can't imagine what it would be like in Midsummer. What you get for the price is ridiculous. We could've stayed in a very upper market hotel down near the waterfront for the same price, but the advertising of this apartment and the photos and the reviews gave a very false impression of what you would get. Who made the most of it, but it was very embarrassing for me as I had recommended it.
