Our stay at Castello di Volpaia was pure magic - not just because of the breathtaking views and charming medieval village, but because of the incredible team who made us feel truly at home.
From the moment we arrived, Fabio, Francesco, and Lorenzo went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Their warmth, humor, and passion for this special place bring Volpaia to life. Fabio welcomed us with such genuine kindness, Francesco shared stories and recommendations that only a true local could offer, and Lorenzo’s enthusiasm made our wine tasting one of the highlights of our trip.
The rooms are beautiful, the views over the Chianti hills are spectacular, and breakfast on the terrace feels like a postcard come to life - but it’s the people who make this place truly exceptional.
Castello di Volpaia isn’t just a destination; it’s an experience - one filled with heart, history, and hospitality at its finest. We left with full hearts (and a few bottles of wine, of course) and can’t wait to return.

The location is fantastic and the village of Volpaia was magic. There are 2 excellent restaurants and a bar/cafe. We liked the way our room was divided into a bedroom and completely separate bathroom and dressing room. Beautiful grounds and swimming pool.
Breakfast was very ordinary. Not much choice. Staff not interested at all. Coffee very good. The fridge in the room didn't work and was not fixed despite repeated requests. One day the room was not serviced at all.

Everything it is absolutely gorgeous. The place is full of history. It’s a quiet place where you can relax with a glass of a good wine and just enjoy the beauty of the hills that surrounds you. The apartment that we stayed is just vast with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, kitchen and living room (aprox 130 mp) with comfy beds and old furniture, but quality one, so…yes…it’s a nice place…
