The Opposite Place

Quiet Location that's away from the hustle & bustle of Jonker Street yet still a short easy walk from most attractions. Ms Winnie gave me a warm welcome on arrival and also excellent F&B recommendations. Enjoyed a pleasant stay in the South Room on ground floor, especially its tranquil garden. There's a cosy little café on site that's open 9am-5pm, super convenient for those times when you don't feel like going out for meals. 😊

Water pressure in Shower a bit weak but still acceptable. Would have preferred having a mini fridge in room rather than a shared one. Can't escape the mosquitoes but property provided bug spray & mosquito coils. Cover up with long sleeves & pants and you should be safe from bites. 😉

A cozy nature ambiance but in a city centre. Near to everything that u need & desire.

I had a wonderful 3-day, 2-night stay at Opposite Place in Melaka. The setting and decorations are beautiful, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. I especially loved the lovely bathtub! The host was incredibly kind and accommodating, allowing me to check in early, and the kakak provided very clear instructions throughout my stay. Despite being close to the roadside, the place was surprisingly peaceful and quiet. The location is excellent, with Jonker Street just a short walk away. Overall, it offers great value for the price, and I truly enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended!

• Expensive, please be prepared that your stay will come with no parking, no facilities, no breakfast. For the price I've paid , there is a lot better options nearby. Also, I need to pay RM30 for overnight parking at the parking lot which recommended by the PIC as I couldn't find any free parking, just FYI. • The room itself is clean and tidy but my husband and I feel very uncomfortable the moment we step in the room. We found some of the photos that hanging on the wall very disturbing instead of aesthetically pleasing to a point we couldn't sleep whole night . But Art is subjective, so this is not a bad thing, just something we didn't like. • The water pressure is rather weak , abit annoyed when taking shower and the fridge is broken :/ • Zero Soundproofing, we can hear the music from cafe downstairs and noise from the outside including motor...people talking..praying sound...
