A Minha Casa

Great, very clean, fully equipped and spacious house. Also lot's of space outside. Location is good, pretty close to a high way, so you are really fast on your way to all the nice things that Madeira has to offer. The host (and his mother) is/are very friendly and polite, when you reach out to them they are very willing to help with everything. From immediately fixing a small problem in the bathroom, to tips of restaurants or getting the best local fruits. We had a superb time in this house, it almost felt like home.

Yes, the house is close to the high way, and sometimes dogs bark, but hey, you rent a house in the middle of Funchal, I guess you should be aware that a city always makes noise... For us, for example when eating on the terrace, it was pretty easy to ignore the surrounding sounds. And most important, indoors the noise was very minimal.

The host was very kind and helpfull. He provided all the service we asked for incl. contact for advantageous car rental, transfer from/to the airport, trips and activities recommendations.

Drie slaapkamers en twee badkamers, fijne ruimtes! Leuk terrasje.

Het huisje ligt onder de viaduct en zorgde ervoor dat de locatie heel wat minder idyllisch was……toch veel lawaai…… Geen probleem maar zou toch vermelden dat het een buurt is met een paar pittige steile weggetjes en dat die toch wat rij ervaring vragen de eerste dag(en)

Host César was exceptional - nothing was too much trouble for him. The accommodation was lovely with fantastic views over Funchal. It was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. We had a brilliant trip despite some changeable weather!!!

You just need to be aware that it is up a very steep hill with limited turning space. We used local taxi’s which were cheap and reliable or you would need to hire a car.
