The location in Petra was excellent. The outdoor area was sweet, although the tables and chairs were stacked for the winter - could have been more inviting as per the photos. We may have been the first renters of the season...

We have stayed for a week several times in the past in Petra at different 3 bedroom places. First time here. This home looks super 'on paper' and in the photos. It is a great older building with much character and potential to be a super rental. However we found it to be rather cold in feeling - without a welcoming vibe whatsoever. (For example, sheets covering the sofas, one handsoap for 2 bathrooms ) Little things that make a difference. We had no hot water upstairs for 2 days, although the manager finally did send over a neighbour and she fixed the problem promptly. The king bed ( in a lovely large room) had no fitted king bottom sheet, only a flat queen or double sheet which was put on as the bottom sheet and didnt fit at all. It moved so much that each night we ended up waking up to see we were sleeping on the cold and clammy fitted vinyl protector. We asked for a proper bottom sheet as well as a couple more rolls of toilet paper, a couple more bath towels ( as the ones supplied didnt dry after the first showers and we therefore used wet towels for the rest of the week), a couple more dish towels, some extra garbage bags so we could sort out the garbage as per the post on the fridge. Our request for these items was rebuffed rather rudely with "you are getting the same as other renters". Maybe so, but all other places we have rented in Mallorca for a week ( we have come to this island for 10 yrs) provided so much more than this place! And the host's attitude in the other places was always friendly, with good explanations of his home so that we would enjoy the visit. Here we felt that we had made a poor choice and would live with it until the end of the week Our friends' comment was "this place lacks soul..." We made the best of it...too bad!
