+good mattress - bad insulation (you could hear the neighbours talking very clearly) - construction site in the hallway - no reception - no room service - parts of the room smelled like at granny‘s house

The room was kinda small, bed was comfortable and clean, window view was awful in our room, bathroom had functional facilities but no lock and had noticeable water damage around wooden doorways and trimming. Overall, an average experience. Perfect for easy access to Cambridge and low to average hotel expectations.

I made a mistake when booking and didn’t change dates so it booked for the next day and then I couldn’t move or cancel because of cancellation policy. However it was a mistake and I've tried to correct right away calling the Hotel immediately and many times after and nobody ever answered. Tried to send messages in hotel website and nobody ever replied. Tried to send message via hotels.com and it wasn’t even possible - error message. Hotels.com customer service tried to reach the hotel and couldn’t. This never happened to me before with other hotels and I am really disappointed.

The previous negative reviews are all plausible. I booked at the last minute so curious to see how bad it was. I received the door codes message ok although I never received the pre booking email mentioned by others. The room seemed ok and I had a ground floor room at the front with big bay window. But no power. But shower was hot. I knew I was going to be there for 10 hours tops so I lived with it. As expect, any calls for assistance remain unanswered. Yet yo see if I will be slugged a spurious 50 pound extra charge.

Pros first: The room was clean and had an amazing number of power outlets and lights. The folding desk was nice too. Shower worked well. Cons: The room feels unfinished, or at the minimum poorly designed. The biggest issue is that the bathroom contains a very loud extractor fan which can still clearly be heard when the door is closed. There is no way to turn off this fan and it is on 24 hours a day. Even worse, the fan is not beefy enough to do much in the way of ventilating the shower cubby/ room so the room quickly becomes damp. Sucks all around! Other issues: * pillows are garbage * no mirror above washbasin, instead it is near the door below a shelf? * The "automated" checkin system did not work at all and so had to do this process with a staff member who was helpful but talked in a barely audiable mumble.

small but modern rooms in a new place, very close to the station. Downsides were that checkin app doesnt really work with hotels.com or expedia so I couldnt get in touch with them until I arrived. And the wifi signal is terrible, needs more bandwidth. But nice people, once you finally get a hold of them.

Pictures were deceiving we were put into a renovation property so a lot of noise of works. Also no kettle tea or soft furnishing. Room was dark no ideal lighting and no hair dryer.

It’s nothing like the website photos . Tv didn’t work . Shower plug blocked , so the shower try fill up and over flow . The toilet is tiny no good if your on the large size . Only good thing was sheets clean and it had a bed . It’s just for an overnight stay wouldn’t stay no more than a night . Would I stay there again … No

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel for 1 night as it was a quick base for going out that night. The room was very spacious and clean the only let down i would say is you'll never get a lay in as the walls are very thin and you can hear every footstep and the shower was very slow and took a long time to heat up. other than that it was okay

Property was nothing like the images shown. Extremely dirty and sticky floors and dirty carpet. Bathroom soap dispenser did not work. Was not replaced even though I informed the reception. Had to buy my own soap to use. Left my charger in the room, but hotel tells me that I didn't. This was my fault. I can't blame them for my leaving it there, but I'm surprised they say they didn't find it. I can only assume that another guest took it before I complained the next day. They did find another adapter in the room and offered to post it to me.

Staff communication over Expedia was curt. No clear way to communicate with staff once you’re there. I happened to stay in the same room a year ago and a few things in the bathroom that needed maintenance were still not fixed.

Excellent location, but unfortunately, Shower unusable as it was filthy, even after I tried to clean it. Little things that are easily fixed ... weren’t! Toilet roll holder falling off wall so toilet roll kept falling on the floor. Curtains falling off window, light bulbs blown. Nowhere to set case so had to leave it on the floor. No where to set soapbag/ toiletries in bathroom, so again had to set them on the floor. As I said little things that could easily be fixed to make the stay so much better...... but room 6 really needs a new shower !!

Great location in Cambridge. A 3 minute walk from the train station and about 25 minutes (walking) to King College and the heart of downtown Cambridge. Comfortable bed, bedding, and pillows. Electric kettle with tea and coffee for the morning. Small bathroom but wasn't an issue for a single person. I was in Room 1 which is closest to the street and front door so there was traffic noise and noise from the front door slamming closed. TIP: If you're coming to Cambridge for a short time, don't rent a car.

Whilst staff were pleasant, this hotel is ridiculously over priced at £90 for one night in a cramped cold and scruffy room and generally scruffy hotel. Would not recommend and will never stay there again.

We were aware that this hotel had a low rating however my husband refused to pay more for a decent room. The staff were very professional and polite. The room was tiny with no room to manoeuvre either around the bed or in the shower room. There were sharp areas in the bed and unfinished areas in the bedroom. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling. The bedding was clean but the double bed small. The breakfast was lovely.
