Great location, clean and tidy
Very spacious rooms and social area with a garden at the back. Not far from the Lakes, for someone comong from South it is a great place to base for a few days and cover the Lakes.
Bathroom tiles were a little too slippery for our liking after a shower.

Very well kept place . Recommend it for traveller who want to explore the Lake District.
Comfortable and clean place. Host had kept travel guide books and ensured everything was well equipped. Would definitely recommend this property.

Was practical and good enough
Rooms and Kitchen was for a large family but Kitchen staff was prepared for the minimum. An English large kitchen had no Teapot , 2 cooking pans, no cafe machine or similar, just a bit of powder. When we asked for a tea pot the owner was surprised of our wishes but brought one the day after

Disappointing
Location was a shock. Not a cottage, but a refurbished 3 bedroom semi on a large estate in a run down area of Kendal, with a busy road running outside. We only stayed one night of our two night stay, because of the awful location. Bed too short for my husband. Booking.com should show pictures of the outside of all properties. This may be why it is non refundable and you have to pay in advance.
