We have stayed here before and it is a great place to stay to break up a very long journey. The lodge is cosy, comfortable, clean and excellent for bringing a dog. We went again to The Jolly Thresher pub which is a short drive away.
When we had trouble with the electric gate, the owner responded immediately to assist us.
The basin in the bathroom is very small. Everything else is excellent.

It was very cosy and welcoming. Very clean and the views were amazing (shame about the weather for us though)
I was disappointed at the additional charge of £15 to use the log burner. The log burner is part of the property and I felt that paying £162 for the night and then asking for an additional £15 to use the fire was a little unfair.

Clean, tidy and essential items provided to make a self catering one night option really easy such a a little milk, small breakfast items

A stunning location and hospitality was spot on would definitely return we loved it all .
The only slight blip was the bed was a little uncomfortable and a bit hard for us .
