Salt 54 by Savynomad Harbour Residences Valletta

This small, studio-style flat is in an excellent location for visiting Valletta. It's near all the major things you want to see while being on a fairly quiet, small street. The hosts were excellent in communicating and even helped us with airport transportation; key instructions were easy to follow. The price is pretty good for the area. The small kitchen is well appointed with everything you need, including a pod coffee maker (just be sure to get the right pods--we messed up on this ;-)) and toaster. The bathroom was clean, there was plenty of hot water, and the water pressure was good. There is a washer, although we did not use it. There are plenty of restaurants, markets, and bakeries within a short walk away. There is a mirrored window in the door and one other window, so you can let in air and light if you wish. The main Valletta bus station is just a 10 minute walk (600m), which was good for our day trips to the Ħaġar Qim Archaeological Site and Blue Grotto on one day and Mdinan and Rabat on another, and the Three Cities Ferry was also under 10 minutes away.

This was a very good stay, but as others have noted, the ceiling beams in the apartment, and especially the bathroom, are a bit low if you are over say, about 1.8m tall. The street it is on is pedestrian, although it is all steps if that is an issue for you, and you are lower down than the town center, but walking in Valletta requires going up and down. There is only room to walk and for a nightstand on one side of the bed, so one person has to crawl up the bed if the other person is already lying down on that side. Again, none of these were significant issues for us, but we just want people to know the situation.

Location is great, property was very clean (and we are quite fussy on that, so they must have cleaned well!), communications from owner were very good. Some basic amenities were provided such as tea, coffee, loo rolls etc. The floor space is like having a large hotel suite, good sized bed, en-suite but with the bonus of extra space of a kitchen, storage area etc.

The ceilings are low and the shower headroom is especially challenging, it's easy to bang your head (we didn't!) - appreciate this was 'as advertised'. and certainly did not feel at all misled by any of the adverts - I am just mentioning it again for future visitors, if you are above 1.75m, you'll spend a lot of time ducking as you walk around, I'm 1.80m and would probably look for somewhere with a higher ceiling next time - but that being said, it was exactly as advertised and this is a minor point that should not detract from an excellent place to stay!

Apartament Salt 54 jest bardzo przytulny i komfortowy oraz bardzo czysty. Wystrój apartamentu i jego położenie nawiązuje do klimatycznej architektury Valetty. W apartamencie są udogodnienia takie jak: pralka z suszarką, w pełni wyposażona kuchnia, odpowiedniej wielkości łazienka. W apartamencie jest klimatyzacja. Znajduje sie w centrum Valetty, blisko do wszystkich atrakcji, do dworca autobusowego oraz promu na Gozo i taksówki wodnej do trzech miast. Chociaż osobiście nie poznaliśmy właścicieli to z kontaktu mailowego wynika, iż są to osoby bardzo pomocne, przyjazne i uprzejme. Po całych dniach zwiedzania z przyjemnością wracaliśmy do apartamentu.
