The location and last minute booking

Only one sheet and one blanket, no extra bedding, toilet seat was loose and a kettle and coffee machine provided but no coffee or cups/mugs?

Access challenging. Suitable for back-packers/ people on a budget.

The property is simple and would be well-suited to a single or couple on a budget or back-packers with their own utensils and cups (and tea, if you drink it), who know Brunate roads or use the funicular. Take food, if you don’t plan to go far for dinner. Helpful owner with our parking on a very narrow street. The early departure time wasn’t a problem as we wanted to get away early. The coffee and coffee machine were good. Paper cups were provided. Views of some of the buildings on the top of the hill (715m).

Difficult to find in the rain at dusk, using standard local maps. There was a link to directions in messages at one stage but it wasn’t easy to find a second time. If you see it, screenshot it! However, that map is not detailed, many of the streets to the apartment change their name and Google Maps doesn’t work well with roads doubling back on themselves. Either one-way or narrow two-way systems added to the complexity.

The owner let us in late at night, when we stupidly locked ourselves out.

We should have asked for the best way to get here first as Google maps try to send us up an extremely narrow road only suitable for a smart car initially but than havey us an alternative route when we turned around.

Very good

The host helped us by whatsapp with many suggestion and how to find the place, which is in brunate on top of a hill, with a view on the old city center. Very close to Como, it is also possible to reach the lake shore with a special train called "funicolare" which climbs straight up and down along the hill.

Double check location and how to reach the place with the host using his instructions, otherwise can be a bit tricky to find the location.

Exceptional

The owner was amazing, went above and beyond to help arrange transport to the airport for our early flight, and gave us wine & chairs/table to enjoy the view from the balcony. Very clean and modern apartment, beds/towels changed everyday. Lovely view of Brunate from the balcony & was lovely staying away from the crowds

The location was a bit awkward to get to the airport for our early flight as the Funicular to Como centre only runs from 6am which was too late for us. Completely our fault for not realising how difficult it would be to get to the train station but something to bear in mind if you have an early flight. We also realised if you need to buy a Funicular ticket at the top, it must be before 7pm as the stall closes then (just to avoid getting stuck at the top like us) - again nothing at fault of the property more just to bear in mind with the location

Superb

The room is clean and the bed is comfortable so likely to its pictures. there is a teras or balcony ( not private) with a fantastic view and the friendly staff provided us with table, chairs and some plate and glasses so we could enjoy the amazing view.

The room did not have a very pleasant smell, neither the mobile network nor the wifi of property couldn't provide us with convenient internet. above all, the location of this property is so isolated, so hard to get there by diving a car and more hard if you wanna take a bus (no.5) over there and then have a 30 minutes walk uphill especially if you carry a heavy luggage, yet you would enjoy the fantastic nature and view up there.

Sicuramente una struttura che ti coccola come casa tua, soprattuto l’attenzione a mantenere un ambiente profumato e confortevole, La chicca devo dire la tv e qualche luce a sensore che hanno deciso di prendere vita propria e comunicarci in un linguaggio paranormale.

Se proprio devo fare una critica costruttiva direi i cuscini erano troppo puliti e profumati, sconsiglio per chi è sensibile ai profumi forti

Chambre annoncée comme non-fumeur, mais l’odeur de cigarette était insupportable. Impossible de rester, nous avons quitté la chambre immédiatement. Les propriétaires n’ont pas réagi et ne répondent pas aux messages. Expérience très mauvaise, chambres à éviter absolument.

Tout. L’odeur de cigarette abondante. Les cheveux et poils dans la salle de bain. Le chauffage qui ne chauffe pas. La saleté, la poussière, les bêtes mortes sous le lit et derrière les tables de nuits. Les draps sales avec des trous et des traces. Des chips par terre au niveau des rideaux. Des cure dents et des papiers de sucrettes par terre. Les murs en carton, on entendait tout ce qu’il se passait dans la chambre d’à côté. Le propriétaire peu correct, un désastre dans l’ensemble, nous ne sommes pas restés dormir.

Soggiorno da dimenticare: con 2 gradi fuori, nell’appartamento faceva lo stesso gelo perché riscaldamenti e climatizzatore erano inutilizzabili. La pulizia inesistente: ragnatele dal lampadario a ogni angolo, polvere e capelli perfino sul controllo dei riscaldamenti. Al secondo giorno, dopo 13 ore di assenza, rientriamo e troviamo anche la corrente staccata, e nessuna risposta ai nostri tentativi di contattarli. Un bouquet di problemi che ci ha costretti ad andarcene in anticipo.

😡 gar nicht! Zimmer wurde nicht eingeheizt. Radiator eiskalt auf höchster Stufe. Klimaanlage auf Heizung 30° funktionierte nicht🥶 Zimmertemaratur Nachts13° keine Decke, nur Leintuchuch. kleine Wolldecke! Spinnweben und Schmutz wo man hinschaut😬 Kapsel Kaffeemaschine, weder Kapseln noch Gläser/Tassen. Schrankschublade: Papiersack, Quittungen vom Vorgänger?? Boden Schmutzig. WC Brille versetzt! Kaum warmes Wasser, ev. knapp für 1 Person zum Duschen. Eingangstüre zugleich Balkontüre, ist undicht. Storen defekt! TV-stellte nachts ständig on/ off, Lautstärke nicht regulierbar. Ein anderes Lüfungsloch: ganze Nacht, on/off ist laut.. Öffentliche Parkplätze? Kleine enge Strasse. Kaum wendbar! Vermieter reagiert nicht auf anruf, kein Rückruf!

Alles komplett schlecht. Durch die eisige Zimmertemparatur weder Decken, Duvets, haben wir mit unseren warmen Kleider versucht ein bisschen zu schlafen. Katastrophe 😡 Solche Vermieter sollte man sofort sperren! Jeder Euro ist zu viel!

Sconsigliatissimo!!!

Abbiamo prenotato questa stanza per 2 notti, segnalata come NON fumatori, ma, al nostro arrivo, abbiamo riscontrato subito un forte odore di fumo impregnato nelle tende, nel materasso e nei cuscini rendendo impossibile il pernottamento. Inoltre la stanza era molto polverosa, il lenzuolo sporco e l'accesso alla stanza, poco sicuro, è tramite una grande porta a vetro trasparente, che si chiude con una semplice chiave, la cui toppa è anche da sistemare. Abbiamo perciò lasciato la stanza subito la mattina dopo, dovendoci procurare un altro alloggio all'ultimo minuto e rimettendoci i soldi di una notte in più!!!

Siamo una coppia che andiamo in giro spesso e facciamo delle piccole soste,purtroppo c’era un odore di fumo al interno della abitazione di sigarette, abbiamo fatto molta fatica a dormire. Non voglio aggiungere altro.

Posto lurido e horror

Posto difficile da trovare e lontano dalla funicolare. Vi consiglio di andarci esclusivamente in macchina. Camera sporca e fredda, ma soprattutto comunicante con il resto della casa del proprietario e con altre camere. Lenzuola, cuscini e asciugamani sporchi con peli, capelli e polvere. Il proprietario maleducato, scontroso ed insistente. Non vi fidate delle foto su Booking, appena entrerete in camera sarà completamente diversa. P.S. con una sola foto delle scale, vi lascio immaginare il resto…

Bonjour, il n y avait pas de petit déjeuner. Et le logement je l ai si bien mérité pour y monter à vélo. Endroit super calme. Les chutes de pluie abondantes rendent les habitations plus humides. J ai apprécié de pouvoir sécuriser mon vélo dans ma chambre. J ai apprécié cette douce nuit merci
