Stunning views from a centuries' old chalet on the mountain

The house is situated on a mountain side with stunning views of the Zillertal. Completely renovated in 2016, the house dates back centuries and is a great example of how to bring an old building up to date with all the ammenities expected by modern travellers. The house has two bath rooms with showers and there are two toilets, all situated on the ground floor along with the kitchen and dining room. On the first floor you will find four bedrooms and on the second floor one bedroom and a big living/tv room. Beds are good and there are heated floors throughout the ground floor. From a separate entrance you will find a spacious sauna and shower in what used to be the old stable.

As the house is situated on a very steep hill side, driving all the way to the house is not possible unless you have a 4x4 and nerves of steel. However, the host is more than willing to drive you, your lugage and groceries to the house, but you will have to park your own vehicle down the slope and walk to and from the house. This was not advertised and was somewhat annoying as it does restrict your feeling of being able to move freely. Also keep in mind that entering the house is on the opposite side of where you reach the building and is not for the disabled or people in wheel chairs. Beware of extra fees for towels (!) and for having pets in the house and for the local tourist tax (the later is applicable everywhere in Austria - everything is to be paid directly to the owner in cash).

Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt in einer gemütlichen, hochwertigen Unterkunft mit herzlicher Betreuung.

Die Unterkunft hat uns ausgesprochen gut gefallen, da das Chalet sehr sauber ist und modern sowie stilvoll renoviert wurde. Die Kombination aus zeitgemäßem Komfort und gemütlichem Alpencharme schafft von Anfang an eine sehr angenehme Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die sehr sauberen und hochwertig ausgestatteten Bäder sowie die separate Toilette. Auch die gut ausgestattete Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Ein echtes Highlight war für mich der Gemeinschaftsraum im traditionellen Alpenstil, der rustikal, urig und gleichzeitig unglaublich gemütlich gestaltet ist und zum Verweilen einlädt. Abgerundet wird das Ganze durch den wunderschönen Blick ins Tal, den wir jeden Tag sehr genossen haben. Auch die praktischen Details überzeugen: Der Skiraum ist angenehm warm, sodass Skikleidung und Schuhe hervorragend trocknen können. Zusätzlich gibt es einen Brötchenservice mit frischen und sehr leckeren Brötchen. Der Besitzer ist jederzeit erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit, was den Aufenthalt insgesamt perfekt gemacht hat. Alles in allem haben wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen

Tolle Alleinlage. Gemütliche Stube, gute Betten!

Die Anfahrt direkt zum Haus war mit unseren Autos (ohne Allrad) leider nicht möglich. Der Vermieter war aber so freundlich und hat uns und unser Gepäck mit Allrad hingebracht.
