Enjoy Your Oceanside Dream at Kihei Surfside

Gorgeous ocean view with beautiful grounds sans amazing sunsets! On site shared washing machines and dryers! Parking spots are tight for a Chev. Tahoe/ Ford Expedition type vehicle. Location was 1.5 mi. to Monkeypod with has the most Mai Tai’s. Also the Shoppes at Wailea are closely as well. E we were very happy with the communication of owners Bob and Sarah too! Definitely recommend!

The grounds and the view!

The location near the ocean beach was incredible. Lovely manicured park grounds Great pool Loved the beautiful view from the patio Close to restaurants and grocery

Very uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room No washer/ dryer inside the unit Very crowded dining area

Location

Nothing

The property is beautiful and its greatest strength is undoubtedly the location. It overlooks the ocean, offering stunning views, with a large lawn that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The amenities are also excellent, including a swimming pool, barbecue area, and everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Unfortunately, our experience was significantly affected by Bob's poor communication. I first contacted him in April to ask about the possibility of an early check-in, but I never received a reply. I tried again the day before our arrival through Booking and even sent him a text message, but once again there was no response. Only after we arrived did I mention the issue, and although he apologized, that did little to make up for having ignored my messages for months. The same lack of flexibility was evident when I asked if we could extend our check-out by just one hour, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Bob declined, explaining that he needed a 2–3 hour cleaning window before the next guests, who were due to check in at 4:00 PM. However, even with a 12:00 PM check-out, there would still have been a full 4-hour window before the next check-in, which is more than the time he himself said was required for cleaning. Granting an extra hour would have been a simple courtesy and would not have affected the preparation of the property. Finally, the house is extremely cluttered with all kinds of items. While some guests may see this as a benefit because there are plenty of things available to use, it also makes the property feel more like someone's personal home than a vacation rental.
