Sea Diamond Boutique Hotel & Spa by Sea Resorts

Beautiful boutique resort with exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms, lovely gardens and excellent food. The size of the hotel was perfect for us - peaceful and private without feeling isolated. The evening turndown service, in addition to the regular housekeeping, was a particularly lovely touch and made the stay feel that little bit more special. The Mauritian buffet on Thursday evening was particularly memorable, with an amazing variety of delicious local food, all included along with drinks. Complimentary tea was also offered every evening, which was another thoughtful touch. Most importantly all food was halal. What really made the stay special, however, was the staff. They were warm, courteous and remarkably attentive, often remembering our preferences and plans and asking about them later. Reception was extremely helpful and efficient. It is difficult to single out individual staff members as we had such a positive experience with almost everyone we met.

Only minor points in an otherwise excellent stay. Drink service was occasionally quite slow, and housekeeping could be more consistent in replacing towels and room amenities. Neither significantly affected our overall experience, but they would be worthwhile areas for improvement.

The only thing that could be improved is the room service. It was extremely clean and they very kind all the time, but during our stay they forgot a few times to leave new towels and toilet paper. They quickly solved the issues but I think it could be avoided.

If anything, we somethimes had to ask for cuttlery at breakfast and call somebody to order, but it did not bother us.

The property itself is visually appealing, and the room (Royal Suite) was comfortable. The overall facilities are decent and have the potential to deliver a true five-star experience.

We booked this hotel to celebrate a special occasion and specifically chose their highest-tier offering, the Royal Suite. Upon booking, the hotel management themselves confirmed (via Booking.com) that they would arrange a cake and room decoration for the occasion. This was not something we requested—it was offered by them. From arrival, the experience fell short. At the entrance gate, our name was not on the guest list. We were stopped and asked to manually go through a list of names. When my booking could not be found, security took my phone from me and walked away with it to show another staff member, who then had to call someone else to verify the reservation. While this was eventually resolved, it created an uncomfortable and disorganised first impression. At reception, we were asked to sit in a common waiting area. After some time, a staff member approached us, handed over a form to fill in, and mentioned that welcome drinks and cold towels would be served. These were never provided. The staff member then left, and we waited approximately 20 minutes before being attended to again. The entire check-in process felt slow, uncoordinated, and lacked the attention expected at this level. Once we reached the Royal Suite, there was no room decoration as previously confirmed by management. At this point, it was already clear that there was a disconnect between what had been promised and what was actually delivered. After dinner, the cake that had been promised had still not been provided. I approached the staff to follow up, and they informed me they were not aware of any such arrangement and would need to check. We returned to the room and waited. After approximately two hours, nothing had been delivered. I then sent a message via Booking.com to highlight that both the decoration and cake had been confirmed by management but had not been arranged. Around 15 minutes after this message—late at night—we received a call offering to provide the cake.
