Our worst experience in France...

The location

Our experience with this accommodation was disappointing from the very beginning. The communication felt strict and unwelcoming, full of rules and warnings instead of real hospitality. Even after informing the host about our flight change, there was no flexibility or understanding — everything felt rigid and stressful. On the day of arrival, I clearly told the host that we would be there around 11:00–11:15. He showed up at 11:50, leaving us waiting outside in the cold for almost an hour. Because of this delay, I missed my train and lost part of the itinerary I had planned for the day. He did walk us to the station after I insisted, but the damage was already done — the whole day was ruined. What made the situation worse is that even though we ended up not staying in the apartment, the host did nothing to help us recover the cost of the first night or offer another solution. No support, no goodwill, no effort. The apartment itself was good, but the management was very poor. Basic essentials were missing: no hand towels, no paper towels, and small details that any rental property should provide. These things matter, especially for travelers who expect comfort and preparation. Overall, the experience was stressful, unprofessional, and far from what a guest deserves. I would not book here again and do not recommend this accommodation.

Bel appartamento molto spazioso e praticamente a pochi passi dal centro storico.

Le persiane di alcune camere non si abbassavano, il wc scaricava continuamente acqua e anche con la porta chiusa faceva rumore. I vicini del piano di sopra hanno ascoltato musica ad alto volume fino alle 03:30 e i letti erano scomodi. Insomma, non abbiamo chiuso occhio.

En revanche, l'immeuble est vraiment miteux, l'ascenseur ne fonctionnait pas. Les volets dans 2 des 3 chambres ne fonctionnaient pas. Deux poignées de portes coincées (nous sommes restés bloqués à l'intérieur !) La cuisine etait peu équipée en couverts, assiettes, plats. Il n'avait pas de quoi boire un café (pas de tasse ou de mug), pas de torchons pour les mains et la vaisselle, pas de Pastilles de lave vaisselle, pas de poubelle distincte pour le tri.
