Traditional Apartment Museum

The location, the comfy clean bed, the balcony. Yes, it is an old fashioned flat with lots of old things but this adds to the charm, like going back in time to your grandmas flat. However, my grandma didn’t have a bathroom as good as this or air conditioning! It had everything we needed, kettle, fridge, clean towels and soft bed linen. There were lots of plug sockets in useful places. The balcony, although immediately overlooking a tin roof had views up to the mountains, over which Georgia lies. The communication with the host was informative and friendly, with humour. Parking outside.

Nothing we didn’t like. Just like the Australian reviewer, I don’t understand the low rating. We have stayed in dozens of places over the years and this was amongst our top experiences. It is really better for couples, I suppose, but we are a couple so no issues there. Also, people complained about the water being turned off twice a day, however the water pump works just fine (bathroom only). There was no need for the complaints from other guests and it is unfair.

We loved it. Obviously has been recently renovated and the traditional interior is on purpose. Easy check-in, host very responsible, comfortable and very clean beds. Nice cozy balcony. Honestly, in my opinion this listing deserves a much higher average score. Yeah, there is a water outage between 11AM and 5PM but during these hours you just turn on the booster pump to get water from a water tank. It is not rocket science. This apartment has a reverse cycle AC which works very well indeed. It is a VERY cheap option to stay in Alaverdi area and the apartment is situated in the most central part of the upper area.
