A warm, welcoming, and authentic Tuscan stay in a perfect location—I would happily return.

Beautiful, authentic Tuscan farmhouse just outside the city walls. Spacious, comfortable room, great bed, well-equipped bathroom, excellent breakfast, and an ideal walkable location. The host and her grandmother were incredibly kind and welcoming.

Nothing—my stay was wonderful! I only wish I had stayed longer! I hope to come back in the summer to enjoy the pool and grounds in warmer weather.

Great place to relax and enjoy Montepulciano

We only stayed one night but we wished we had stayed longer. The room was very comfortable, both in size and facilities. The breakfast was also very good and the property is only a couple of minutes away from the old town by car. The surroundings are beautiful even in a cold November day 😍

Nice Tuscan family stay, in the foothills of Montepulciano means for family lifestyle and speed.

Pool was beautiful and outdoor space very nice to enjoy time out with family. Right below main Montepulciano city with Tuscan landscape!

Great location, very close to Montepulciano’s old town. Very comfortable rooms, each with their own charm. Meticulously cared for grounds. Delicious breakfast served each morning by sweet Antonella. Wonderful choice.

Antonella is sure to make you very welcome.

From arrival to departure we were welcomed like old friends. Antonella could not have been more helpful, even offering to drive us to our wine tasting when the local taxi price was a bit higher than expected! Whilst we didn't use the pool during our stay we did make use of the sun beds around the edge, which offered both sun and shady locations. The room was very well appointed and you could choose to have breakfast on the terrace or in front of the room. We ate on the terrace and breakfast was an array of tasty dishes with the option of eggs if you were still hungry. Ample car parking available.

Idyllic stay

The place is idyllic for relaxing in peace and enjoying nature and the scenery, with just a short walk from the center. The owners do everything with love and always with a big smile, especially the delicious breakfast on the terrace. Highly recommended, we are already looking forward to returning.

A nice stay

The property is in a fantastic location, within easy walking distance to the town. We really appreciated the communal kitchen, which made it easy to prepare lunches and snacks, and the breakfast each morning was excellent. However, we were disappointed to find that our room didn’t have a balcony—especially frustrating after travelling so far, when most other rooms did. The grass around the pool area was quite overgrown, and the walls were very thin—we could even hear someone coughing from two rooms away. Overall, a mostly pleasant stay, but a few things could be improved.

Our accomodation was set in a rural location a short walk from the town of Montepulciano. The room was of sufficient size and comfortable. There was a pool which was very much appreciated as some days during our stay were quite hot. The staff were amazing and very accommodating. The breakfast that was included was a particular highlight.

It was a great way to experience Agriturismo in Tuscany in a very convenient and beautiful location!

The setting and location are dreamy! The accommodation is rustic yet tasteful, and the surroundings feel like something out of a movie set. The hospitality was truly exceptional. The owners have created a very homey and welcoming environment. They are warm, easygoing, and make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is serene, and they give you the freedom to relax however you like—whether it's roaming the grounds, enjoying the pool, or unwinding in the beautiful common areas. The location is just a 10–15 minute walk to town, and Montepulciano definitely lives up to expectations! I would absolutely stay here again.

We absolutely enjoy our stay. Location is perfect. Manageable to walk to the old town, bus station and big Conad supermarket. The stone house is very cute, renovated the old furniture in new usage. I like the classroom study desk in our room. The host family is very welcoming and friendly. Antonella is very helpful to give us recommendations of sighting and restaurant. Breakfast is home-made traditional Italian breakfast. Enough varieties and choices. Highly recommend to stay at least 2 nights. We got no time to enjoy the pool and the peace there.

Really nice people who were very welcoming and helped to create a very relaxed atmosphere. Great pool. Great view out our room, and they made us a special breakfast when we needed to check out early after our 5 nights with them.

Idyllic in the Tuscan countryside

We really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was in an outdoor courtyard with many options. The room was comfortable and well decorated. The pool and gardens well maintained. Great views over olive groves & and the property is straight onto a lovely walk along vineyards! 10 minute walk (uphill) to the centre of town, which always felt completely safe (we even saw loads of glow worms!). Easy parking. Lovely birdsong the whole time. I’d recommend staying here.

A beautiful stay, utterly lovely. Would come back.

Loved the charming Tuscan buildings, the views, the feeling of calm & relaxation amongst the walnut & cypress trees. Our room had a balcony & also opened out onto a shared kitchenette which was a bonus as you could prepare a picnic/teas/coffees. The house-made olive oil from the farm!! Loved the pool, the breakfast on the terrace & the proximity to the historic centre of Montepulciano (a stroll up the hill maybe 10 mins). The whole atmosphere was so chill - the ladies of the property were all super friendly and helpful, and the way that the different rooms were laid out meant you had your own personal space but could also meet other guests and chat if you wanted to.

Felt very at home during our stay and it made a great base for us to explore Tuscany. Breakfast was lovely and homemade. Our hosts were lovely. Views are beautiful and walking around the vineyard among the olive trees is nice. You can walk or drive to town. Parking available on site!

Podere Fontecastello is in a beautiful location, and it’s also a great location to visit Montepulciano and the Tuscany region. Lucrezia and Antonella are very nice and very helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent, and the room was simple but large and comfortable.

Delightful.

Our stay at Pondere Fontecastello was absolutely delightful. The apartment had everything we needed, the property was beautiful and walkable to Montepulciano, and the hosts were so incredibly gracious and kind. The breakfast for 8 euros per person was delicious. Absolutely wonderful stay.

The queen bed in the main bedroom was too hard for my back.

Absolutely terrible, rooms were dirty, walls dirty, flaking, I had to cancel my stay and lost deposit money. Stay away from this place, it's claustrophobic, needs urgently renovating, is utterly grim and unattractive

Exceptional

We stayed in the accommodation for three nights. the environment was beautiful, the estate typical of Tuscany. The room was clean, big enough with a comfortable bed. The hosts were always smiling, they prepared a delicious breakfast. We also bought their homemade wine, which was great. The pool and surroundings were clean, the water was refreshing, and sunbeds were available.

Perfect staying!

We loved staying at Podere Fontecastello: it met our expectations and more. The location was fantastic: we could easily reach Montepulciano by foot, and drove to Pienza in just 20 minutes. We quickly got used to walking up to the town either to eat there (there are so many restaurants and osterie) or to procure some excellent focaccia that we ate at the Podere with a view on the Tuscan hills. Above all, we loved spending time reading by the pool: the atmosphere was relaxing and informal. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and clean; the staff was welcoming and responsive (the two little dogs, Wilma and Thor, were an added bonus!). We would definitely go back!

Such a peaceful stay!

We loved our stay here. The whole accommodation and our room was beautiful - 15 mins walk from Montepulciano town. We didn't have a car so had to organise a taxi from the train station to the accommodation which was roughly 20 mins drive and 30 euro. The family was so lovely and welcoming! The pool was great to use when it was hot and sunny. Absolute bliss - feels like you're secluded but close enough to walk to bars and restaurants!
