Enjoyed our stay

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Sea Breeze in the secure holiday Beach Club in Hermanus. Although not at the water’s edge, the unit is an easy five-minute stroll away from the beach and we did have a lovely view of the sea. We had a small glitch entering the property in that one of two codes we were given to enter a second gate did not work, nor did a new code we were given, but luckily there was another entry point that we could use. The beds were very comfy, the spacious walk-in shower had good water pressure and extremely hot water. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the gas hob to work to heat our coffee pot, despite following instructions in the comprehensive house manual that was provided; perhaps the gas cylinder needed refilling. Fortunately, we were only there for one night and had planned to eat out for dinner as well breakfast the next morning, so we didn’t worry to contact the owner regarding this. The kitchen was clean and reasonably equipped, but we couldn’t find a sponge or cleaning brush to wash up the few items we used. On the whole, we had a good time.

The host provided great information on how to access the property and was quick to respond.

I wouldn't book here again or recommend it to anyone. The property is located in Hermanus Beach Club where you have to drive pretty much through the local informal settlement to get to the main gate. It feels incredibly unsafe. The house is decorated nicely but for visual impact and not comfort. All bases (beds and couches) are made from cement and the mattresses placed on top are basic (not providing any comfort or support). Majority of the facilities advertised are shared communal facilities with the Beach Club - not in your specific unit (this is not obvious) . The house looked clean and neat but walking around barefoot for a bit - our feet were dirty.

It was a freezing cold night,no aircons in the bedrooms only hot water bottles which is not too safe to use.Gas heater was in the lounge we struggled to turn it on and communicated with the host they responded on time but it just didnt turn on at all.We froze all night

Misleading information

Everything was neat and clean. Modern and comfortable amenities.

Location. I found your advertisement very misleading. It nowhere mentions it is part of Beach Club. We would have never booked if we knew that. We almost packed up and left on arrival and claimed our payment back because of misleading or withheld information about the location. It is next to a rural settlement and we felt unsafe. Fortunately we discovered a side entrance that ensured that we could bypass main entrance that is located in a very sketchy area. Please indicate on your ads that"Seabreeze" is in Beach Club- no vague descriptions of "in a complex" to allow tenants to make informed decisions.

The flat is well equipped with all the expected furnishings. It seems to have been decorated recently which is always nice and it was very clean, tidy, and tastefully decorated.

The location is not ideal as it was a bit too far to comfortably walk to the town centre. Although the adjacent squatter camp didn’t bother us I appreciate that others might be put off by this.

Noch nie so viele Verbotssticker und Inhaltsangaben von Schubladen, Schränken und Spielekoffern in einem Appartement gesehen. Direkt hinter dem Tor fängt ein Township an. Gibt einem irgendwie ein unsicheres Gefühl, es ist aber nie etwas vorgefallen. Würden es aber dennoch erneut buchen.
