The Hilltop Retreat

Out in the countryside between Florence and Siena, this huge old farmhouse can handle groups of over 30 guests with ease. There are plenty of places to spread out and enjoy la dolce vita – numerous sitting rooms and dining areas inside all decked out in old-world Tuscan splendour and three different kitchens. Some of the bedrooms are tucked under eaves with low ceilings, but it’s all about the country charm here. The expansive grounds are home to a private heated swimming pool, and a higglety-pigglety collection of terraces and patios on all levels taking in the Tuscan hills from every angle. The best bit? A private spa with a hydrotherapy pool and hot tub in the basement. Home truths: *One of the bedrooms has a queen-size bed and two singles, so would be best suited to a small family or children sharing. At capacity, six guests will be on three double sofa beds in the communal areas. *This home consists of a main villa and two self-contained apartments with their own kitchens and living areas. *The swimming pool and spa are only available for use between 15th April and 15th October. *If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance. *Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There is private parking for up to sixteen vehicles.
