‘The Cuil’ is a newly built, contemporary, luxurious one bedroom studio apartment.
‘Cuil’ in Scots Gaelic means nook, nest or corner. We thought this was an apt name for this space as we have created a cosy nest, just for two on the corner of our croft.
Inside, the open plan studio comprises one king-size bed, a seating / dining space, a compact kitchen with fridge, microwave and two burner induction hob and a luxurious shower room with mains pressure rain shower and Fired Earth limestone floor. The Cuil also benefits from an elevated private decking area with breathtaking views. The large sliding patio doors flood the studio with light and the views can be enjoyed from the comfort of the king-size bed.
The bedding comprises 100% cotton sheets and waffle duvet cover. We also supply waffle robes and slippers, hairdryer freesat smart TV, USB and Type C charging points, free WIFI and a portable Bose Bluetooth Speaker.
On the decking, there are a pair of love seats to enjoy a morning coffee or enjoy the last of the evening light with a sundowner. Blankets are provided for external use on the decking to keep you cosy.
We have a selection of walking books and information about visitor attractions around the Isle of Skye which you are free to enjoy during your stay.
Our luxurious properties comprise a one-bedroom cottage and a newly built studio apartment.
They are designed for couples looking for an indulgent romantic break. Set in the stunning coastal village of Camuscross, conveniently located half way between the Mallaig to Armadale ferry and the Skye Bridge. The village has a quaint pub and restaurant and only 5 minutes away by car is the famous Kinloch Lodge for that special holiday meal. The town of Broadford is only 10 minutes away and has all the amenities that you would need during your stay.
Our Croft cottage has a mixture of contemporary and antique furniture, one king-size bed and bespoke fabrics and finishes. The cottage boasts a fully equipped ‘Ashley Ann’ luxury fitted kitchen made here in Scotland, underfloor heating, ‘Fired Earth’ limestone flooring throughout the ground floor, an induction hob, double electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and wood burning stove.

The Croft and The Cúil are two individual luxury spaces on the beautiful Sleat peninsula of Skye overlooking The Sound of Sleat. Sleat is known as ‘The Garden of Skye’. The views from both properties are breath-taking.

Amazing experience! The hosts were the nicest most helpful people I’ve ever experienced with a VRBO. The deck and the view were spectacular! I wish we had spent more time there. They gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations also! The unit was very clean and well equipped!

The view from the Cuil is fabulous and the accomodation is spotless with everything you need. A very comfy bed and great shower. Lovely welcome touches and very friendly hosts.

This place was ideally set up for our visit to the Isle of Skye - the kitchen area was great to make breakfast and a coffee to enjoy on the deck area in the morning, the room was comfy enough to enjoy our time and relax, and the view cannot be beat. The hosts were absolutely amazing and beyond accommodating with recommendations of places to see and dine, and truly cared about our visit.

The accommodations were ideally set up to have a cozy stay - kitchen area was perfect for quick breakfasts and making coffee to enjoy on the deck, TV set up for movie nights was great, and we couldn't have asked for a better view! David and Frances were the most gracious hosts, providing suggestions for places to see or dine and truly cared about our stay and experience visiting Scotland. Plus, their pup, Islay, was an adorable 'host' to have as well. :)
