Cozy and pleasent stay in Basel!

Absolutely fantastic hosts. This is what real hospitality is about. Cristina and Axel are super kind and made my stay in Basel unique. The place is located in their home so is somebody likes authenticity, this is the place. Indeed very tasty breakfast! Not mentioning that I got a ride from the airport :)

Fair stay nearby Basel

The owner was very gentle and he gave us a lot of good tips about Basel. We even got bikes without extra costs that we used to discover the area around. The location is nearby Basel city and with a bike easily accessible.

The room, bathroom and breakfast area were messy, not properly cleaned and with old facilities. The floor was quite disgusting and there were so many spiders on the ceilings. The breakfast was quite tasty, but unfortunately surrounded by small flies (a bit of cleaning might have helped on getting rid of them).

Great place and absolutely lovely host

An amazing host! She was like a real guide — drove us around, shared interesting stories, and gave us lots of insights. She even picked us up after a late-night party — who else would do that? Incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. It was a real pleasure to talk with her. Huge thanks for all the warmth and care!

An super experience and not just an overnight stay

Everything. Great accommodations. Superb breakfast and incredible hosts. We were offered hot beverages on arrival, shown the room and sauna. Laundry was done for us. We used their kitchen to cook our supper. We were treated like family and we would go back in a heartbeat. Two gracious hosts. Outstanding value for money.

Warning: worst accommodation experience ever

Warning: we had our worst experience at an accommodation here ever. First of all, this is not an apartment but a room in someone else's house on the first floor. We were not given a key to close the room and the sunblind didn't work. The house is large and secluded but still no complete sense of privacy is present. What we experienced was that the owner's son decided to throw a party for a group of 50 people. We heard this on the day of our last night's stay before we had to drive back to the Netherlands. Nevertheless, we showed flexibility in the hope that everything would be under control. However, it became a big mess in which we were threatened and treated very disrespectfully. After 1 a.m. I went to the party asking them to turn down the music. The bass was very loud and earplugs did not help. I was then told to just put in airpods and post a bad review. When I stayed until the music was turned down I was pushed away by several people. The music was turned down slightly but back to full volume after 2 a.m. After this I urged the owner's "friend" to intervene (the owner herself was on vacation). This had no result and after this we called the owner by phone for a solution (I wanted to call the police. The group of 50 people was apparently out of control). The owner offered to refund a little more than half the price per night. However, we felt this was not enough. Then the owner said: you will get the whole price if you leave right now at 3:30 in the morning. Of course we refused. After this the owner said that we either had to leave by ourselves or we would be evicted by the "friend" of the owner. I said that in that case we would call the police. After this I ended the discussion and we left as the sun was rising. The alarm clock was set for 6:30. However, I did not sleep a wink because of the feeling of unsafety.

Guaranteed a great stay with these hosts but it isn't an apartment.

The hosts were the highlight; they're so lovely and welcoming. Full of suggestions for things to do and we had a delicious breakfast everyday. They're also very accommodating of requests.

The description of the ad gave the impression of a fully separate apartment when it is actually a large room of a home. I wasn't expecting this and the hosts were so nice that I didn't mind one but but it's something to consider if you have issues with that. They also rent out other rooms which can make the house noisy at times.

Couldn´t wish for more

Couldn´t wish for more Reading the reviews for this place left us with a bit of odd expectations, But we weren´t disappointed at all. Lying in a vere quiet neighborhood it was a very pleasant stay beyond all expectations. 1 minute from the Rhine and close to the borders of Germany and Switzerland. You can reach both Basel and Weil am Rhein in under 10 minutes by foot. And the hospitality and help with different questions was outstanding. And if we got lost we should just call for help. We didn´t got lost so we didn´t needed the help. But the lifeline were available. We can only recommend this place if you are in it for the true feeling of life. There is more to life than 5 star hotels. There are also good people and real experiences and authenticity All in all a very nice stay with a lot of good memories and we will, hopefully, be back another day for a longer stay than this 2-nights-stay. Do not get fooled by negative reviews for any place.

Located in a nice position on the Rhein and not far from Basel. Large room in a secure property. The hosts Christina and Axel were the most charming and helpful I have ever experienced. They even went over and above to provide what we wanted for a meal and then dropped us into Basel and collected us. The hosts collected us from the airport and dropped us off. supreme guest care. Congratulations

Disappointing

Good location and parking on site.

Room was not particularly clean. No kettle in the room or tea/coffee making facilities.. Bathroom cupboard had toiletries presumably from family members and there was nowhere to hang towels bar one hook. Also wardrobes were full of clothes etc, so nowhere to hang our clothes. Owner only showed me the room when I arrived. It was only the following day we discovered there was a breakfast area and pool etc in another part of the building. The pool looked grimey, as did our shower in the room. There was some long hair on bathroom floor. The shower looked great, but none of the buttons worked so it was just a standard shower. Did not feel it was good value for money as had expected more.

Ideal pentru a te simți “acasă”.

Totul este la superlativ mai ales atunci când gazda este tot româncă ! Recomand cu căldură! - locația este situată în Franța, dar la granița cu Germania și Elveția. - 1 h de mers în Colmar ( Franța) , 1h de mers la Zurich ( Elveția ) și 20 minute în Basel ( Elveția). - parcare privată în curte; - camera stil rustic exact ca în fotografii. Recomand tuturor celor care vor să viziteze locațiile de mai sus și nu vor să se streseze cu parcări private/ subterane ( care sunt scumpe ) și care nu vor să piardă mult timp pe drumuri. - în plus este foarte aproape de aeroport.

Gastvrije, complete, wat rommelige accomodatie

Prima gastheer met heerlijk en uitgebreid ontbijt. De locatie was voor ons perfect; hadden de fietsen mee en waren via een leuke route langs de Rijn met 10min. in het centrum van Basel. Fijn bed en met rolluiken alles lekker donker, dus heerlijk geslapen.

Het huis, de tuin en de faciliteiten waren een beetje 'vergane glorie', zoals we dat in Nederland zeggen. Erg rommelig en vol qua inrichting. Van de andere kant was alles wel aanwezig. Op de kamer stond wel een waterkoker, maar bijvoorbeeld geen kopjes, koffie en/of thee. Later wisten we de keuken te vinden, dus pakten we daar glazen/ kopjes. Dat vond de gastheer ook wel prima. Maar als er meer gasten zijn, die de ruimte die aan de keuken grenst gebruiken, zou het wel handig zijn geweest als de kamer was uitgerust met een kleine pantry/ wat kopjes en theezakjes bijv.

Wir würden nicht noch einmal buchen

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, der Herbergseigner war sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Das gesamte Umfeld machte einen ungepflegten und unordentlichen Eindruck. Unser Zimmer war stark mit privaten Gegenständen überladen, wodurch es an Stauraum für unser Gepäck mangelte. Zudem befanden sich Toilette und Bad in keinem sauberen Zustand.

Pour une nuit à Huningue (ville agréable et fleurie) c'est bien.

Indépendance de l'appartement. Qualité moyenne du petit déjeuner . (date des yaourts dépassée, fond de pot de confiture,...) Emplacement très bien à 100m de bus allant à Bâle)Tranquillité de l’emplacement . Parking privé .

Arrivés à 16h comme annoncé, nous avons du patienter 1hr avant que l’hôte apparaisse au portal de la propriété ! Le "bric à brac " de la cuisine au petit déjeuner! Propreté assez limite. Bien que la maison soit en France, l’hôte ne parle que difficilement le Français.

Bloß nicht buchen!!

Objekt war eine Sperrmüllhalde. Appartement nicht abschließbar. Bad voller fremder Hygieneartikel und unsauber. Keinerlei benutzbare Kleiderschränke(alles verschlossen). Objekt machte insgesamt einen unsauberen Eindruck. Direkt ein anderes Quarier gesucht und abgereist. Für die Tigermückenplage konnte er nichts. Das war Urlaubsabzocke. Das Geld war Weg und bisher auch keine Lösung über das Portal.

Idylle mit kleiner Oase

Meine Tochter und ich kamen an, Code am Schloss eingegeben, Grundstück betreten, auf den Gastgeber getroffen und die Kommunikation sorgte gleich für ein absolutes Urlaubsgefühl. Unterkunft gezeigt, zuhause gefühlt, den Pool noch gesehen, dann noch 2 Fahrräder bekommen und die Gegend erkundet. Das Frühstück war perfekt für uns, wir hatten alles und noch viel mehr. Vielen Dank für wirklich alles…

Das einzige was genervt hat, waren die Mücken die kamen als wir inspirierende Gespräche mit dem Gastheber draußen im Garten führten. Also wir fühlten uns wohl und es gab nichts.

De keuken zit niet bij het appartement maar wordt gedeeld met andere.

Fijn verblijf met erg goed ontbijt op mooie locatie van waaruit veel te doen is.

Ruime en schone kamer met prima bed, goed geslapen. Vriendelijke host en erg goed ontbijt. De locatie is echt geweldig, 10 minuten lopen naar het kleine centrum van Huningue met een gezellig barretje (Red Fox) en een heel goed en niet duur Italiaans restaurant (Bacio). Met een heerlijke wandeling van ong 45 minuten over een voet- / fietspad langs de Rijn zit je in het hart van het prachtige (maar zeer dure) centrum van Bazel. Wij hadden ook nog eens lekker weer, dus genoten van ons verblijf hier!

De keuken wordt gedeeld met de eigenaar van het huis wat voor ons geen probleem was omdat we buiten de deur hebben gegeten, dit haal je echter niet uit de beschrijving op booking.com. Het zwembad is een klein binnenzwembad, wij hebben dit alleen door het raam vanaf de buitenkant gezien (is ons door de eigenaar ook niet op gewezen), zag er niet uitnodigend uit vanwege de vele spullen in de ruimte en hebben er daarom en vanwege ons korte verblijf van 2 nachten niet verder naar gevraagd.
