Casa Ravello — more than a house, a state of mind!

We are a family of four (two adults and two teenagers) and our stay at Casa Ravello was simply unforgettable. In Ravello, we were deeply impressed by the beauty of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone — their architecture, gardens, and especially the breathtaking perspectives framed by windows and terraces. Casa Ravello is located just a few steps away from Villa Rufolo, almost like its little annex, and shares the same stunning views that truly take your breath away. Every morning, the sunrise from the terrace was absolutely spectacular, and every evening felt like stepping into a scene from Cinema Italiano. Our host, Daniele, was exceptional — kind, punctual, and always ready to help. Not only did he provide us with great tips about local cafés, restaurants, and places to visit, but he also made sure we had everything we needed. He checked in from time to time just to see if we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Everything was perfect — except for the pillows, which were a bit too firm for our taste. But after only a few hours, Daniele surprised us with the softest, fluffiest pillows on the Amalfi Coast! Thank you so much, dear Daniele, for your care and hospitality. Casa Ravello is not just a place to stay — it’s an experience, a feeling, a state of mind!

The property’s location is great, a short walk from the main piazza (beware of the steps: that’s Ravello!). We love that is is an independent unit (although a neighbouring house looks into the courtyard). The terrace has a breathtaking view of the sea bay, with a lovely outdoor seating area

Nothing in particular, however I think a newer, more comfortable sofa is needed, ideally a leather one, or one with washable covers, so it can be sanitised (the current one is a really cheap, stained sofa-bed,and it cheapens an otherwise lovely living area). A new gen TV as well would elevate the space, as the current one is outdated.

A peaceful and unforgettable stay in a stunning location with everything we needed.

The location is wonderful, with a breathtaking view. The place was clean, well-equipped, and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Although I had read in previous reviews that the stairs might be challenging, I didn’t find them difficult at all. We arrived late, and Daniele kindly offered us the option of self check-in, which was very convenient. The instructions to reach the property were very clear, and a small issue with the Wi-Fi was resolved promptly. We were also very happy that we chose the town of Ravello out of all the Amalfi Coast – it was the perfect decision!

Incredible terrace view makes up for the so-so blah interior.

The terrace and view hugely makes up for the ordinary interior accommodations. Nights were quiet and peaceful. If it was warmer weather, we would’ve lived in the garden. Bathroom is in the hall so it’s easy for access without going through a bedroom. Hot water tank is small, so don’t linger in the shower. Each room has its own temperature controlled blown-air heat/AC system. Communication was prompt and consistently courteous.

STEPS! It’s a long walk with MANY steps from parking to arrive the small house. Some alleys were completely dark with no lighting. Thank goodness for the lights on our mobile phones or there’d be no way to see up/down the steps. I recommend minimal bags. My colleagues had medium sized trolleys and they both struggled. We paid 10€ per bag for them to be carried to the car on our departure. Interior could use some loving attention. Definitely felt “rental” quality. But again, the terrace is what we most desired so we were okay with interior.

the location is absolutely perfect, situated a 2 minute walk from the main square in ravello! the views were beautiful and it was so peaceful. Also, Daniele was a great host. He met us and took us to the apartment and was on hand whenever I had any questions about restaurants and things to do in Ravello!

A nice hidden gem in a nice little town

We feeled at home in this typical Ravello casa. Simple comfort inside and a large 20x30M terrasse with a garden, all for yourself, hanging over an astonishing view on the coast. The casa is at about 2-3 minutes walk of the centro on a small and quiet via. About 50 large stairs down from the centro. Don’t worry if you need help with your luggage, Daniele will take care of it if you prefer. There is no vehicule in Ravello, so the town is quiet an easy going. Daniele is a local and he knows everything at Ravello and around, just ask him!

Cozy relaxation with a view

This is an airy and light-filled little cottage (newly renovated) with views overlooking the sea, yet just a few minutes’ walk to Ravello’s main piazza. Had a wonderful stay here, and Daniele was the perfect host.

Ik had goede instructies gekregen naar het huisje toe. De verhuurder - Daniele - had een chauffeur geregeld die ons van het vliegveld kwam ophalen. Dat beviel ons prima. Het uitzicht vanaf het terras is prachtig. Het dorp zelf ook. Ravello is zeer de moeite waard: het minst druk van de steden daar en toch genoeg te zien en lekker eten. Het is het dorp van Wagner, Escher, Reid, Greta Garbo en vele anderen. En niet voor niets...

Paar kleine dingen. De douche was niet altijd betrouwbaar qua temperatuur. Het was echter zo heet dat ons dat niet veel uitmaakte als het af en toe koud werd. Verder was het huisje wat schoon en netjes maar het is een bank met vlekken en de slaapkamers zijn ook niet heel gezellig. Het terras is prachtig. Wij hadden echter de keuze gemaakt in Augustus te gaan. Het was ontzettend heet (boven de 30 graden) en er was gebrek aan natuurlijke schaduw (wel een parasol maar daaronder was het nog bloedheet). Ik zou een volgende keer een iets koelere periode kiezen of een huisje met natuurlijke schaduw.
