Da Clara - Vintage Apartment

Hosts couldn't have been more helpful, checking on our progress, meeting us in Ravello, driving us to the apartment, and then even delivering a food shop for us as we weren't able to get one ourselves before the shops were closed the following day. They were very friendly and answered all our questions quickly and helpfully. Air conditioning in all rooms was very good, kitchen is well equipped, the terrace with views to Ravello is ideal for meals and the view from the balcony off the bedrooms is spectacular. Climbing stairs across the whole area is unavoidable and challenging in high summer so we found Da Clara's location in Torello ideal, allowing us to walk either to Ravello or Minori relatively easily, The apartment sits on the slopes running down from Ravello to the north towards Minori on the south.

No fault of the hosts, but arrival by bus is very difficult - the standard hourly bus from Amalfi to Ravello is only 1.5 euros but is a mad scramble and we couldn't get on with our luggage. A separate 10 euro shuttle minibus is bookable in advance but doesn't take luggage. Taxi was our only alternative, but costs 80 euros. Within Ravello there's a much better hourly local minibus service for 1.5 euros that will take you to/from centre of Ravello if you don't walk.

Beautifully decorated apartment with lovely views. The kitchen was well appointed, the beds comfortable, with a great rooftop patio with an awning!
