8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
Travelling from Sunshine Coast to Cairns, this location is at the halfway mark. Rand them out of the blue, and Kim was very helpful. Explained that she would open up a cabin (as I was arriving after hours), and would turn lights on to assist me. Great comfortable cabin, excellent amenities and HW shower pressure, Will stay her again on my next trip.
Train noise may upset some if cabin is close to roadway. It was noticeable on the first passing, but dont really remember hearing it a second time.

The park is set back off the highway so traffic noise is reduced. Plenty of hot water, fans in cabins. Cabins were clean and well presented.
Being pet friendly there was some dog barking

Clean and had all the facilities we needed to be independent for one night
It was a little dated. Entrance to the cabin was difficult with the vegetation slightly overgrown. There was a strange sour smell at the entrance
