Domus César, wifi, gare et arènes

We had a wonderful stay in Nîmes. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to all of the major attractions, restaurants, and shops, which made exploring the city very easy. We felt safe throughout our stay, and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful during the days we were there. We were traveling with three teenagers, and the apartment had plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably. The kitchen was also very well equipped, making it easy to cork our wine and make our coffee. We walked 2 blocks to Carrefour for the extra food items we needed. While street parking was not free, we were able to park on the same street as the property without difficulty. Parking fees only applied during business hours, which we found reasonable. Overall, this was a comfortable, well-located property and an excellent base for exploring Nîmes.

A few small improvements could make the stay even more comfortable. During our visit, the apartment was quite warm, especially at night. We did our best to manage the temperature by keeping the shutters and rolladens closed during the day and using the fans provided in the bedrooms, which we appreciated. However, it was still difficult to cool the apartment enough for comfortable sleeping. Opening the windows at night helped somewhat, but it also allowed insects to come inside. Adding insect screens to all of the windows or additional cooling options would be a welcome improvement during the warmer months. The living room was also darker than we expected. One of the lamps appeared to have only a single working bulb, and because we needed to keep the shutters closed to reduce the heat, there was very little natural light in the main living area. Improving the lighting would make the space feel brighter and more inviting.
