About this house rental

Only 2.5 miles or a 15 min drive to Pike Place Market. The unit comes with Wi-Fi, self check-in, and free parking. During your stay, you can also enjoy using a convenient kitchen and living room. Our Airbnb is within driving distance to several popular restaurants, shops, and parks. An ideal base to explore Seattle. It’s tucked away from the main street but super easy to jump on the highway to take you anywhere in the city.

Very stylish and well taken care of bungalow built in 1916. Close to 1st hill hospitals, I-5, I-90, Capitol Hill, Lake Washington, and Downtown. Located just a short walk (a few hundred feet) to Judkins Park and Playfield. The home is very private as its located directly behind a row of newly built townhomes.

You will have access to the entire home plus small deck attached to the front of the home. Free in-unit washer and dryer will also be accessible for guests.

Check-in will be contactless but the host is always available for questions/recommendations via text or call.

The home is located in the small district of Judkins Park in Seattle. Surrounded by up-and-coming neighborhoods that have seen big changes in recent years, the triangular cluster of neighborhoods are still quite sleepy at its core.

Most of the commerce and dining in the area is found at its edges. Residences in Judkins Park are mostly older single family homes and a few newer apartment buildings and townhomes. There is plenty of green space, including the eponymous Judkins Park, which runs parallel to 23rd Ave, and Sam Smith Park, which sits over the I-90 tunnel and adjoins the Northwest African American Museum. Though the Judkins Park area isn't the most walkable, it is still served by several transit routes, which connect it to downtown, the Mount Bake Light Rail Station, and adjacent neighborhoods, such as the International District. It is thus an ideal spot for commuters to downtown and the east side.

Check out Sound Transit’s Trip Planner site to see how to best plan your trip using public transportation.

Link Light Rail

The closets light rail location to the home is the Mount Baker Link Station. It’s located about 1.4 miles away, or a 5 minute drive. The light rail offers easy access to downtown’s Pike Place Market, boardwalks, Ferris wheel and more. You can also take the light rail directly to the stadium at UW or downtown.

Whenever I have enough time, I always take the light rail to the airport because it costs $3 vs $35-$65 Uber or Lyft. Keep in mind, it will take you about 5 minutes to the station from the home in a car and another 40 mins to get from the station to the airport. It will help you avoid heavy traffic if that may be an issue too.

Uber & Lyft

The fastest and most reliable mode of transportation in our opinion. Simply download the App and go. Uber/Lyft Driver’s are always minutes away and cost an average of $10-$20 per ride.

Turo & Car2Go

You can rent a car with car sharing apps by downloading Turo or the Car2Go app.

Electric Cars

There’s a free electric car charging station located about .5 miles from the home (or a 10 minute walk)

Parking

Street parking is available and is usually pretty ample.

Please note, there are a few stairs (about 4) from the entryway to the front door.

The home comes with access to a small driveway right in front of the home. It can fit up to two cars, one directly behind the other but is very compact in width. The driveway is approximately 90” (w) x 400” (l), please note the length isn’t fully straight, it’s at a slight curve and is decently uphill. For size reference, it fits our Ford Fusion with another car behind it but is snug on the sides. If you have a large truck or SUV, it might be too tight to park in the driveway.

Please be aware of the the parking size limitations. I’d recommend looking up your car measurements or plan on not using the driveway prior to arrival. If this is the case, there is plenty of free street parking available right in front of the home.

We are dog lovers, who encourage you to bring your pup along with you on your trip! The space has a unfenced small front yard. If you do bring your dog, please do not leave your dog unattended in the yard. There is a $75/dog cleaning fee for every dog. You must pick up after your dog as well.

Absolutely No Parties. If any glitter or confetti is found after your stay, you will be charged an additionally cleaning fee and possibly negative review for not following our house guidelines.

Please take this fee in consideration before booking.
Please no shoes in the house.

Guests can check-in anytime after 4 pm

Check-out time is at 11am sharp. A late checkout may be possible if requested before 11am on the day of checkout, for an additional fee of $30 fee per hour. The absolute latest we may be able to accommodate is 1pm (again, this has to be requested!)

Any guest that stays past 1pm on their checkout date, may be charged for an additional night and a fee for rescheduling the cleaner.

We also have a strict no smoking policy. If we find evidence of smoking of any kind inside the home, you will be charged a $500 fine. You’re welcome to smoke outside of the home as long as it’s 15 feet from the property.

Absolutely No Parties. If any glitter or confetti is found after your stay, you will be charged an additionally cleaning fee and possibly negative review for not following our house guidelines.

Please treat the home as if it was your own and leave it as you found it. Above all, enjoy Seattle and all it has to offer! ♥️

Very walkable, centrally located neighborhood. Prompt communication with host. Lovely bungalow with comfy bed. This was perfect for our visit to have a separate place for us and our dogs during a Christmas celebration with friends. The only caution I would flag is the narrowness of the driveway parking, with little room between the building and shrubbery to exit the car. We managed, but barely, in a Subaru Outback. There was some nearby street parking as well, but that appeared limited. However, our visit was Dec 24-26, so may not have been reflective of typical conditions.

We stayed here while seeing a show at the paramount theater. About a 30-45 min walk to the show and many great restaurants/breweries along the way. The house was clean and cozy! Would recommend 👍

Pros:- The house was tucked away in a quiet area that was peaceful for sleeping. - Cute furnishings and comfortable beds. - Felt homey.Cons: - Very narrow driveway that is tricky to navigate, especially in a larger vehicle.- The door was broken and we could not get inside. The host was not quick to respond despite us saying it was an emergency. We asked to call them and they said they could not talk. We literally had to break in through a window and hoist each other inside. - There were spider eggs and ants. - One of the bedroom doors would not close.- The information sheet on the fridge had the wrong address listed as the home address. Thought that was a bit odd. - Proximity to downtown was misleading in the listing.
