Capung Asri Eco Luxury Resort with Private Pool Villas

We liked that the villa was private and had its own pool. We felt very relaxed and the place had a calming spiritual vibe. The staff were very friendly and communicated well.

The shower head wasn't the best and the couch wasn't the comfiest that I've sat on. Be these are minor things, because there are way more positives to this place. Also make sure you byo booze, if you drink. Otherwise the staff will do shop runs for you.

We had an amazing stay at Capung Asri. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the villa was beautifully built and very well maintained. The pool and the view were absolutely stunning. Without a doubt, this was the best accommodation we’ve experienced in Bali. Highly recommended for anyone looking for true relaxation and exceptional service

Beautiful setting and the idea of the villas was great. The pool was clean and appreciated in the heat. Spacious room and bathroom plus plenty of space for luggage. It's a nice quiet area, but far away from everything and you can't walk anywhere.

On Booking.com it says there's a "Restaurant", "Minimarket on site", and a "Spa & Wellness Centre", which there definitely isn't. We had two days without any WiFi, other days the connection was poor. The food is average and is clearly being prepared in a small little kitchen by the staff/butlers. There is no chef or restaurant, so not sure what the food rating is. We had to pay cash for food/dinner and there was no ATM nearby. The outdoor dining area is for flexible people who can sit on the ground with a low table, a proper dining table and chairs would have been much more comfortable. Walking from the road with luggage was tricky as the path was overgrown, we message the butlers on arrival, to let them know we were nearby, but no one responded, so we had to carry our luggage ourselves on the narrow path and wasn't even sure if we were on the right track. We got to the villa late a couple of evenings, being out for dinner in Ubud, but had to use our mobile phone torches, the path was very dark. The towels we had the first day was soft and well looked after, all towels after that, were bleached, washed out and old. The butlers said if we needed transport anywhere they can arrange it, but when we asked we were given WhatsApp contact details of drivers and we had to arrange it ourselves. There is no 24 hour front desk, you have to WhatsApp or call them.
