The host was amazing - super responsive, contacted us prior to us coming into Japan and answered all our questions.

I felt like the title was a little misleading, the property was not that near to the station. From Shinjuku station it's roughly a 20 minute walk away (which is a little rough with luggage), and the closest station was at least 5-7 minutes away.

Good location, quieter neighbourhood but close to Shinjuku nightlife and subway lines. Very well equipped apartment (wifi, great a/c, much better cooling than in most hotel rooms, streaming options for tv). This was the best equipped location of our stay for cooling and entertainment (in room).

Size of room was compact (from North American standards). All properties I stayed at in Japan were similar, just not what we’re used to. For anyone over 6’ transition from room to entry is low and I did hit my head on bulkhead (I’m 6’3”). I do not think this would be an issue for those under 6’.

Location, staff was helpful

The apartment is in a side alley and extremely small. The size of a walk in closet not really an apartment. The floor is covered in rugs that don’t seem to have been clean. Sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable. If you open it to sleep almost impossible for person using bed to walk To bathroom. No room to open luggage at all during stay. Must keep closed and only open on bed during day. Shower is like one from a camper or motor home. you have to brush your teeth in kitchen sink as there is no sink in bathroom. cannot use more than 2 electric devices ( aC/heater/ blow dryer/ microwave) at once or will blow electric grid. This is only for one person and even then I would not stay. On positive note host was responsive and in a great location.
