Apartment with Terrace - very friendly personnel (probably the owner), multi-room appartment, big bathroom, make-up & magnifying mirror, big living room (with exit to terrace) with kitchenette, refridgerator (pitcher with water precooled), microwave, electric water kettle, coffeemaker, AC, big sleeping room with big bed with one mattress and one blanket, great view from terrace and all windows (which can also be opened in a tinted way to just let light in), pool with view over valley, rich breakfast

Parking was only possible outside of the town (5 min away)

Casa Dona Antonia is located within the beautiful walled town of Monsaraz. Although driving to the hotel is a bit tricky, Carlos made it easy for us to unload our bags in front of the hotel and find a place to park nearby. The hotel, in an historic house, is beautiful. Our room was spotless and had a gorgeous view of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was high quality and plentiful. It was very hot while we were there so the air conditioning was es and quiet and the plunge pool a most welcome addition. Carlos and his staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We would definitely stay at the Casa Dona Antonia again and we’ll recommend it to all of our friends.

Not being a 4- or 5-star hotel, I had relatively modest expectations. However, the owner’s attention to maintenance, cleanliness, and overall care genuinely surprised me. As a couple accustomed to staying in very good hotels, we did not expect such a level of dedication and presentation from what is essentially a private house.

Considering the type of accommodation, I was pleased with everything.
