The Sea House - Ultimate Seafront Living & Sunsets

Excellent views of the sea (dramatic, stormy and raining for our bank holiday weekend, of course!), the horizon and a stunning sunset...and as we first stepped into the house, it's breathtaking as it feels like you are stepping out onto the sea itself, or on a cruise ship, that's how close the sea is! Lovely open light space and decor, very relaxing, especially the two lazy-boy reclining sofa chairs! Plenty of outdoor space with various seating options to choose from, either sea view side or at the more secluded back, depending on the weather.

We used all five bedrooms, but the fifth is a double sofabed, and not a proper bed, though the mattress topper helped for comfort. Walls a bit scuffed around the staircases and the bannister was sticky and grubby, which let the house down for cleanliness on first impressions. The house shook especially at the top during the strong winds and with the waves thrashing at the house walls, which was totally unexpected, but we got used to it! Be prepared for this during winter stays ;) The beach front is not accessible from the house, which might be misleading from photos...but the actual "Sunset Cove", part of Selsey beach, is just a short 2 min walk round the corner and is lovely and secluded.

The location was beautiful and designed lovely

In little places (window handles/door handles) outdoor were mouldy.

The property was in a beautiful location. The communication was excellent and when a small issue arose (kettle not working), a new kettle was delivered within hours. We enjoyed going to ‘The Boulevard’ family restaurant in Selsey and Chichester was close by for a brilliant day out.

The beds were very soft and some areas needed a better clean (e.g oven), pet hair on some carpets.

The view was beautiful and the house was clean, spacious and modern. Even in winter it was lovely and cosy watching the waves outside. Was lovely to have Christmas decorations in the house. Perfect family getaway! Would love to return in summer!

As it was very stormy weather the waves crashing on the sea wall did shake the house though the night.
